I just finished The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society and LOVED it - what a fun read!

Just finished The Vanishing Point by Mary Sharratt. The ending was bittersweet, and not the way I had wanted it it to go. It was so sad, but a great book.

Sue Grafton's Kinsey Millhouse series. I'm reading R is for Richoet now & have others "on order" through the library.

I also finished Melissa Sue Anderson's book about what it was like during the Little House TV series.

I read her blossom street series and enjoyed it alot. How is this one?
It's okay. Brings in a lot of characters and different relationships like her Blossom Street and Cedar Cove series do. I think I like them better than this one though but it's still good.

I'm reading Winter Raven by Cassie Edwards now.

I am almost done The Girl That Kicked The Hornets Nest, the 3rd and final in the series by Steig Larsson, I am really enjoying them. Next up are Little Bee and The Magicians.

I had some time to kill on Wednesday night while waiting for a meeting to start. The library was right across the street.

Libraries/bookstores, I can get lot in them.

I perused over to the 7 day shelf and I scored myself a copy of 9th Judgment by James Patterson.:banana::banana:

I'm reading that now.

Oh, I loved that show growing up and read all the books. Heck I still watch it sometimes when I'm home and it's on. I think I need to look into the book. Was it good?

How were Larsson's book? I know that they are bestsellers and people are grabbing them up, plus there is going to be a big movie now but I just never got the "i gotta read this" vibe the reviews I read.

What type of book is it? I always had this impression that it was more of a detective type of book. Is this right?

I'm an avid reader and these books were okay to me. I really enjoyed the first and second one actually (once I got past all the Swedish names and trying to keep track of who's who). The third book was really the ending of the one long story and I wanted to know how it ended but I wasn't crazy about this book. Large parts of it were very boring to me.

There is a movie on the first book, is rated EXTREMELY well. I will watch it on DVD. It is in Swedish with English subtitles.

Be careful. I heard a radio personality describe going to it. It is very vivid. He's a huge movie fan, and it really bothered him.

Me, I LOVED the first two books. Haven't started the third, but my friend that got me to read the first one loved it. It's not for everyone. I recommend to some friends, not others.

I put down Winter Raven by Cassie Edwards. The story was okay but it just wasn't working for me.

Now I've started Brothers by William Goldman. It's the sequel to Marathon Man.

I absolutely adored that book! The characters were wonderful!!

I just started They Almost Always Come Home by Cynthia Ruchti. It's the story of a husband who did not return from a solo canoeing trip in the Canadian wilderness and his wife doesn't know if he's in serious trouble or if he's abandoned their marriage

Has anyone read The Magicians? It is new and looks rather good ... however, I like to get other people's views ... Thanks!

I just finished The Art of Racing in the Rain really enjoyed it. It was sad though, on a Marley and Me level. The dog was telling the story.

I just finished Look Me In The Eye by John Elder Robison...very interesting read. The author has Asperger's...the book is his memoir.

I bought Firefly Lane by Kristin Hannah today at Barnes and Noble. My sister in law recommended it. I'm hoping to start it tonight if I can get settled down here! ;)

I just read an article in Entertainment Weekly and between their story on it and what I have heard from other people who have read it, I think I'm going to skip it. Doesn't sound like my cup of tea.

Just read Love the one your with by Emily Giffin, Soooo good!! I loved it she has some really good books :flower3:

I started reading The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo a while ago and put it down in the middle. I think it would translate into a great movie, though. But NOT with any of the actresses mentioned for Lisbeth's part. The girl in the Swedish version is just how I pictured Lisbeth, though it hasn't shown close enough to me to bother seeing it yet. I'll probably watch the DVD.

I just finished reading "The Feast of Roses" by Indu Sundaresan. It was the sequel to "The Twentieth Wife." Both books were excellent! It was a fascinating look at the Mughal empire in India! Written so very well!!!

Not sure what's up next. We've been fighting a bronchitis epidemic at our house, and I neglected to put any books on hold at the library. If we make it there today, I'll just pick something that looks good. I do have several things on hold, now, but it will take some time to get them in.

I am almost done reading Sarah's Key - sad but interesting
