That is the beauty of my kindle. I always have it in my purse and can read whenever I have some free time!

I like the idea of a kindle (or similar device) but I just really love the "feel" of a book. Do you find you miss that?

I thought I would miss the "feel" of a book but I don't. I bought a cover for it that opens like a book, so the feeling is very similar. I love the idea of changing the font size and my eye surgeon highly recommends the e-readers for people who love to read because it reduces eye strain.

It's the best investment I ever made!

I dont miss the feel of a book at all. I will still read a traditional book if the Kindle prices are too high BUT I really enjoy the flexibility of my Kindle......:worship::worship:

Can't remember what I posted last. In the last week I have read "The Twentieth Wife" which I absolutely loved! I also read "The Help" which was also very good! I enjoyed both of them!

Now I'm reading "In Search of Eden", and then will come the sequel to "The Twentieth Wife" which is "The Feast of Roses."

Reading the Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich. It is pretty funny though I am on book 12 and still havent seen a whole lot of character development.

I finished, Winter Garden, last night. I cried a number of times throughout this book. Especially towards the end and at the end. I love this book. Thanks to those that recommended it!

I'm going to see if, True Colors, (by the same author) is available. Right now I am ready to start, Death in the Grand Canyon (something like that). I think it's about tourists and accidents and mishaps while in the Grand Canyon. Someone on the DIS recommended it. It sounds sad, but interesting.

Is the author Kristen Hannah?

I cried too! That's unusual for me...

I think Winter Garden is Kristen Hannah's best work. I read all her other books AFTER Winter Garden and none measured up.

I think that book spun from a thread I started about a rafting trip my DH ad I want to take for our 25th anniversary :). It does sound interesting. Please post what you think.

I just finished The Swimming Pool by Holly LeCraw. I had bought it because part of the setting was Cape Cod. Then our book club decided to read it. It was okay. I would say wait until it is in paperback or borrow it from someone.

I am just starting The Art of Racing in the Rain by Garth Stein. It is told through the eyes of a dog. I think it is going to be a good one!

For any fellow Yellowstone fans, there's a book like that one, I think it's called
Death in Yellowstone about tourists and accidents and mishaps in Yellowstone.
Right now I'm reading Home in Carolina by Sherryl Woods. I'm about half way thru and really enjoying it.

I don't know if the ones I put on hold are before or after Winter Garden. True Colors wasn't available. And another one about Midnight or something.

I ended up getting, Hannah's List. It looks good.

You're right! It was. :) I will let you know how I like it!

Thanks for those titles! They will be on my list. :) I have two on deck now.

I am currently working my way through the Star Wars universe. Right now, it's about 6 months after Episode 2 (Attack of the Clones), and Obi-Wan Kenobi is on his way to Ord Cestus for a diplomatic mission in The Cestus Deception by Steven Barnes. :yoda:

I am reading Liberty and Tyranny by Mark Levin. It's good so far. I bought it as a comfort book to make up for not getting Who Wants to be a Millionaire.

I'm reading the second book of the Dakota series by Debbie Macomber.

I finished "In Search of Eden" today, and really enjoyed it. Very sentimental, and not something I ordinarily like, but this was quite good. Well written, and nicely paced!

Next up is "Contested Will" by James Shapiro. My daughter is getting set to do a history project based on the debate over who wrote the plays of Shakespeare. This book was recommended, so I'm reading it before she does, to see if it's too "over her head" for a 12 year old.

I just finished The Little Stranger by Sarah Waters - excellent creepy gothic suspense in post-war England, complete with crumbling estate.

Now I'm reading Unfinished Desires by Gail Godwin.

I had a crappy day so I'm re-reading Bed of Roses from Nora Roberts.... Some times a light happy book helps :goodvibes
