What are you putting on BLT founder's tile?

Has anyone decided what to put on their BLT founders tile yet? Do we know yet how much space we get or if there are restrictions on what can be on it?

Dunno. Haven't been told what the limitations are (relative to size, letters and lines). I have heard (after the fact, I might add) that it's the size of a business card. That's very disappointing. Not exactly what I had envisioned but I guess I had no right to expecet a "real size" tile. I had envisioned something the sixe of a shower tile. 4x4 maybe?

I can't even get to the private site where you build your tile. It looks like it hasn't been built yet, at least if it has, it hasn't been turned up.

A couple of these might be a bit too obscure, regarding the height of Bay Lake Tower, but here goes....

That's all I got for now. FYI - I am not a founding member of BLT, so I can't use any of these, but I hope they inspire you.

For the AKV Founders Tapestry we are limited to 12 characters including spaces and punctuation. I posted in the past that Disney is going to hang a large magnifying glass on a chain so we can see our names.

Hopefully they have learned from their prior mistakes and improved the Founders programs.

You have got to be kidding me. Many people cannot even fit their first and last name into 12 characters. I thought you could write a little saying or something clever. Really?...just 12 characters?

If buying there, I would have chosen to wait for better incentives in lieu of being a founding member to get this plaque.

Like the BLT sale we bought AKV without all the information. The AKV Founders Tapestry restrictions weren't provided until a couple of months after the deadline was closed.

The program, the forms, and the information was so screwed up nobody knows what's going on. We contacted our Guide, MS, and Members Satisfaction. All we were told was that we would be contacted latter. Still waiting.

Geez, we wouldn't even be able to use our last name! We've got a combination hyphenated name. So, I guess we could flip a coin and see whose name would go on the tile? Let's see, statistically, women live longer then men so logically speaking it would be my name...

I believe it's 16 characters, not 12. In addition, if your last name is greater than 16 characters they will make an exception.

As always, I could be wrong, but probably not..

I'm wrong and you are correct it was 16, I just double checked the letter that we received on 12/05/07.

The letter also stated that we would receive our personalized commemorative work of art celebrating our inclusion in the tapestry, in Spring 2008. Has anyone received anything yet?

Our guide told us that we would have 2 lines with 16 spaces each. Not sure if punctuation counts, but it probably does. She said we would receive a postcard in 3-4 weeks about the tile, and we would have 2 weeks after that to go online and put our info in. There will be an access code on the postcard.
