what are you putting in your kids Easter Baskets?

For DS11

A new baseball bat (actually, he already got this as practice stared 2 weeks ago - he knows it was an early Easter gift!)
Underarmor for under his baseball jersey
A set of baseballs that show you how to grip the ball to pitch different pitches
Batting gloves (see the theme here!)
Snickers eggs (12 of them!)
Chocolate bunny
other misc candy

For DS9
Mini WWE figures and ring (he loves WWE)
2 Lego games (Walmart has them on clearance for $4 a piece)
Soccer shin guards
Lots of candy!!

Where did you find the baseballs that show how to grip for different pitches? This would be great for my 13yo.

I think a butterfly garden would be good for Easter. I gave one to my 7yo on April 1st for his bday and all of my kids are enjoying watching them grow (they're in chrysalides now).

I'm having a hard time finding something for my 13yo's basket because I try to only do "outside" toys for Easter baskets and a few smaller things, but he doesn't really need anything.

So far I've gotten:
nylon kites
bubbles (for all of them, with different shaped wands)
trading pins and books for our summer WDW trip
B&BW stuff for dd
frisbees
Disney sand buckets/shovels for the two youngest
Hallmark Donald Duck for 7yo
Cars truck for 10yo (he collects Cars hotwheels)
Ben 10 figures out of a gumball machine for 10yo

And I will get them a ton of candy and each boy a bottle of Stewarts root beer and DD a frappucino. Oh, and I think I will make them a coupon for our local ice cream place that we love.

DD12 is getting:
A cute Mickey Mouse T
a pack of black/gray/white striped ankle socks (4 pair)
jelly beans
Reese's eggs
Lindt mini chocolate bunnies

DH is getting:
jelly beans
Reese's eggs
Lindt mini chocolate bunnies
tomato plant

We have Easter baskets that get reused every year.

My daughter is 14 and was recently baptized (her choice)

#1 item is a new teen bible that is inscribed and has her name on it
then candy items reese's eggs and reese's cups, starburst jelly beans, 3-4 packs of chewing gum and peeps.

We'll see if there is a money rabbit around at the time too :thumbsup2

We do a family Easter basket. This year the I am making a chocolate Easter Egg and surrounding it with some candy. Than I have some travel stuff/games for the kids. We are moving in about 5 mos and spending lots of time as nomads:sad2:

My kids get candy. I have never heard of presents in the Easter basket anywhere other than the Dis. We also reuse the same baskets every year.

I don't do a prepared basket for Easter. Instead the Easter Bunny litters the back yard and we clean up after him. :thumbsup2

This year DD6 is getting:

slide whistle
Mushabelly stuffed...thing
costume jewelry
bubbles in a ring
Easter badmitton game...thing

We're still inundated with candy from last Halloween...Christymas...Valentines Day...etc. that I'm glad to give toys at Easter.

When did Easter become the new Christmas??? :confused3
My kids will get candy, candy and some candy. ;)
Most of it is Easter Candy, (Cadbury eggs, Peeps, Dove eggs, a chocolate bunny) but I have some King Sized Hershey Bars and Peanut Butter Cups I got for free so I am stuffing those in too.

Oops, I posted my reply before I saw yours.

My DD's will get the same basket as every year with the same candy....solid chocolate bunny, jelly beans, raisinets and eggs with a coin in them that will be hidden. I'll add sidewalk chalk and a madlibs easter booklet. They need new jump ropes so I'll add that too and they can't be the ones from the $ store, those are too short.

I don't get what you all mean by never seeing presents in Easter baskets. Really, never? What about back in the 80's and 90's.In fact, this is the first year I've walked into walmart and not see any pre-made baskets. You couldn't walk into a store that had pre-made baskets with "presents" toys in them. They were really cheap toys and cost a ton of money. I see most people here at least are buying quality toys and stuff instead of cheap junk and not wasting money.

So back on topic I'm slowly getting the kids things for their Easter baskets.
DD10
A Book
swim suit
a pandora type bracelet that has a princess bead on it from walmart 5.00
a couple of cheap Easter toys from the Easter section
Lip gloss
5.00 gift card to starbucks (non coffee drink)
5.00 gift card to marble slab
and maybe a dvd

DS 7
A book
swim trunks and swim shirt
mini lego figure
some fighting bug things I found on clearance at walmart
5.00 gift card to starbucks (non coffee drink)
5.00 gift card to marble slab
a couple of small things

Plus some candy but not as much as last year! They never finish it. I still have Christmas candy left over.

Reese's cups, malted milk balls/whoppers, bubblegum eggs, hershey's candy bars (miniature, mixed) and peeps. Eeek, and the chocolate bunnies. How could I forget those????

DD is getting some makeup (per her request)
DS is getting some mini lego figures.

Not big baskets from the Bunny. The bunny is tired from hiding all the eggs, and carrying all the candy around.

But after DS finds the hidden colored eggs, we usually go and hide plastic candy filled eggs for him (used to be for DD too, but at 17, I think she's too big to hunt for eggs :rotfl2:).

In those eggs, this year, will be a puzzle. They will have to find all the pieces and figure out how to put the puzzle together, which will lead them to a spot, where they will find another clue. We're gonna do this w/5 or 6 spots, until the final one, where they find the tickets to BG.

The DC/SW trip is for DDs birthday, so they won't find out about that part until we leave Tampa and stop in Orlando!

I've never given DD much candy for Easter. A little, but I try to do other things. Always some summer pjs. Just ordered some Mickey ones from the junior's section at jc penney. 1/2 off, and free shipping to the store with the code freeship.:thumbsup2

Flip Flops, OPI Crackle Nail polish, 2 other nail polishes, Body wash, Silly String, Candy, Sunscreen, ( we leave for WDW in a couple days after Easter)
Chap stick, WDW trading pins, Funky socks. Probably some more stuff I forgot I always do that.

We also have a very spoiled 9 mo old puppy and she informed me today that Simon needs and Easter basket!!!! So far he has a bone for his.

Not in her Easter basket I got her a rolling duffle bag from Disney store with her name and Mickey on it. It is huge and was on sale for like 19.00.

My kids get candy. I have never heard of presents in the Easter basket anywhere other than the Dis. We also reuse the same baskets every year.

:confused3 really? We always got a little toy of some kind in our Easter baskets and so do my girls. Nothing major, just a cute little something they will appreciate. We also use the same baskets year after year, we've had the same baskets for 4 years, we had a house fire 4 years ago and had to toss the baskets we had before, those we'd had since each kid had their first Easter.
Today I was at CVS and saw the cutest little Peeps stuffed toys, they have bean bag stuff in the bottom so they stand up, I got one bunny and one chick for each of the girls (on sale plus I had CVS money to spend), they are going to LOVE them!! They love Peeps so I know they will love the stuffies. :) I'm done now tho, except the $5 fro yo gift cards I decided to get them. Oh I think I forgot to mention, I made them each a pair of earrings to go in their baskets too, I might make them each a bracelet but I haven't decided yet. :)

When did Easter become Christmas? :confused3

I don't know...it's not here.....

Reeses, Reeses and more Reeses, LOL. Reeses big egg, Reeses small eggs, Reeses bunny etc. May add some pixie sticks too.

DS is getting the Toy Story Mr Potato Head kit. I'm planning on opening it up, putting the heads in his basket, and then putting the smaller parts in the eggs for him to find. I also have a few books for him, and some new stickers. No candy here - he has diabetes, so it's just easier to not have it than to try and give him a piece here and there.
