what is everyone planning? Looking for ideas to jumpstart my brain :)

we're staying home this year and in-laws are coming.

Just talking about this today.

I am thinking Standing Rib Roast & loaded Baked Potatoes so far.

Mom mom always makes her home-made pierogies. Cheese/potato and kraut. I just LOVE them!!!! My dad also makes his home-made kielbasa..........and a bunch of other stuff to go along....

Usually we have Chinese Food at my house on Christmas Eve, a big Christmas Breakfast(typical breakfast foods) at my parents house, and an Italian Feast at my sisters house on Christmas night.

This year we are having Le Cellier for Christmas Eve, Breakfast at Cindys, and "dinner" at either the CBR food court or Territory Lounge at WL, depending on how our time goes and when we are hungry.;)

I'll be having airplane food as I fly to Paris. Since we'll be at DLP from 12/25-27, I think we are going to Auberge de Cendrillon for dinner on 12/25!!

My mom and I were talking about this a few days ago. Since we'll just be 3 adults and 1 child this year we're thinking of beef tenderloin, potatoes of some kind and roasted asparagus/red peppers for Christmas Day. I'm not sure about Christmas Eve since DD will need to eat before Church while the adults will wait until we get home. I may just do a roast chicken ala Costco;) .

Since I had to work on Thanksgiving, I'll be making a turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, candied sweet potatoes, buttered shoepeg corn, etc!

I haven't had home-made pierogies in years. My Nanny (father's mother) made the best pierogies. My dad also made home-made kielbasa when I was a kid. I remember helping him stuff the casings. What time is dinner?

Christmas Dinner will be the family favorite of marinated Flank steak....at the BWV....

Low key Christmas Eve--pizza or Chinese. Christmas day, big italian feast buffet at the ILs. Day after Christmas Beef Tenderloin, twice baked potatoes, and some veggies.

Although, I am insanely jealous of CamColt and Zurgswife both of whom will be dining at Le Cellier on Christmas Eve!!!! ::yes::

cold meat & salads here:teeth:

Blondie's making my favorite dinner. I'm going there!

Really, lasagna for Christmas. Not sure about Christmas eve.

We do a traditional Italian fish dinner on Christmas Eve. Christmas day will be at my SILs....ravioli....

small party here DMIL, DH, DS 2 and myself. I am doing the Christmas breakfast (still taking suggestions) and DMIL is doing an Italian dinner. This is new to us, we usually do a ham cold dinner. Hopefully it turns out ok. No idea for Christmas Eve had'nt really thought about it yet.

We are doing something new this year. Christmas Eve will be at MIL's house and we are all going to bring some different appetizers. I'm thinking of making spinach dip w/ bagel chips and a cheesecake.

I'm not sure about Christmas day. I'll either do a big breakfast or a ham dinner. Usually my side of the family comes over for Christmas but this year I'm not sure who will be able to make it.

Took me a minute to remember its summer there! Wow, thinking about that would put a whole different spin on what I'd want for christmas dinner. No way would I want the heavier food that is traditional in the States when it was hot out!

I'm loving reading all of your menus. Still thinking...I'm trying to think of something that will be great but not that much work. being pregnant with twins is really taking a toll on me, even though I'm only 21 weeks. Thanksgiving (we hosted) just about knocked me flat. Beef Wellington sounds fabulous but no way would I be up for that one! Some of the roasts sound good, and they are never hard, at least not the way I'd do it.
