Hopefully I'm not repeating a thread that already has asked this.:rolleyes1

We have had 3 changes of plans now in the past week so not sure what we'll be doing. Probably for sure going out to dinner and possibly playing cards but not sure with which family members.

We usually travel upstate or out of state for parties with friends and family but this year we will be staying home.We traveled right after Christmas and I don't want to spend the last weekend of the kid's vacation traveling. We'll rent a couple movies and watch the ball drop. I'll get the kids some party supplies and thats about the extent of our celebration. I'm looking foward to a low key event.

This year -- nada! We'll probably play board games with the kids (although DS16 has plans) and eat appetizers. We don't have TV, so we probably won't even know when it's midnight.

I think we're going to dinner and to a movie!!

This year we are going over to my Grandma's and it will be a small gathering maybe 8 or 9 (as compared to last year when there we 22 people in my living room at midnight). We will eat dinner and then watch a few movies before watching the ball drop.

We wanted something small and simple this year as compared to years before.

DBF and I are ordering Chinese (we're going to splurge on a pu pu platter! :teeth:), we have our champagne, and we'll stay in and watch the Three Stooges marathon on AMC

Right now I have no idea! Our original plans were to spend it out of town but I got strep throat and not feeling up for traveling 8 hours...

Staying at home and watching movies or playing games sounds great to me right now! :)

Same thing we do every year. Watch tv and go to bed long b4 the ball drops:rotfl: I have to be at work at 6:30am the next day and nobody we know ever holds a party to begin with. Or at least doesn't invite us and we don't care anyway. It'll just be a normal Thurs. night for us.

Just heading to my SIL's house. BIL has to work but will be home around 8 or so. But we're getting stuff to make sandwiches, some chips, soda, snacks, a few boards games and a little Wii competition. Last year, DH fell asleep around 10. Woke him up, went home, he went to bed and my DS12 and I stayed up and watched the ball drop. Probably will happen the same way this year. LOL

We're going to a movie and dinner, home early enough to watch the ball drop on TV, kiss DH and go to sleep. :)

Quiet night at home as always. We'll put DS to bed early and have a nice dinner and probably be asleep before midnight. We do have a date night planned for Saturday instead.

One of my friends usually has a New Years party that doubles as my birthday party.

:cool1::cake:

Not sure yet. This is the 1st time in over 25 years (LOL) we don't have plans.

I used to have a party in my younger days, then when DH and I got married , we went out. After we had kids and they got older we usually did something with friends or neighbors.

This year, no plans. Hmmm a movie may sound like fun though. I'll have to see whats playing and talk to DH and the kids.

well i got NYE off from work
HOWEVER
I need to be in at 8am NY Day (EpCot) - which means getting up at 530am! oh well no NYE/ball drop for me
I'll call my 17yr son to wish him Happy New Year before heading to sleep

We are having a two person party at home (husband and wife). I'm making crab cakes, pepperoncini shrimp and vodka penne and we will make martinis, play games and watch a twilight zone marathon :cool1:

We have no plans, but my DS21 is working crowd control at Magic Kingdom! He's down there working his seasonal job for 3 weeks at the Great Movie Ride, then coming home for his last college semester. Cool ha?

DH & I will be home. I'm hoping to get a couple of fresh crabs and we'll eat some junk too! Got the Domain Chandon chillin' in the fridge.

We very often go to an early dinner with friends, then a movie.
