Happy Earth Day, everyone

What are you doing to celebrate/raise awareness?

My chosen issue is dependence on fossil fuels, specific focus on SUVs.

Keith Bradsher's High and Mighty: SUVs: The World's Most Dangerous Vehicles and How They Got That Way is a good book to check out from the library if you are interested in this issue. Among other things, he details how SUVs "hurt other people in crashes, obscure other drivers' views of the road, make smog worse and contribute to global warming," among other things. He also explodes any myths that people might believe in thinking they "need" that kind of vehicle, making it very useful reading.
