What ARE those freaky clown things?

I was terrified of them when I went the first time, but now I think they're really cool! They make those funny sounds! It must be horrible being one of them though! You probably can't see and you keep getting spun around!

The spinning isn't as bad as it looks. So it's not too bad.

I also like the Spectro Men . . .they remind me more of mimes than clowns . .I think they are cool.

This is one of my favorite parts of the parade. I guess I am odd.

ITA. I always think of Steven King when I see the BW slide. Now that has to go.

Ah ha haaaa! That king dude is horrifying! Have you seem him running down the football field? Hideous! Is he supposed to make you want to go to BK? I think someone on the marketing team is actually a double agent for McDs!!!!

The BK King is scary. He has not neck and his head it too large and plastic. I though the BK super bowl commercial where the women were lettuce, tomato etc. was down right disturbing. Escpecially then then were leaping on each other. That was just sick. DH agrees.

I swear, they look like a cross between that doll in the horror film "Chucky" and that whacked out white masked thing from either "Halloween" or "Friday the 13th" (can't remember which it was).

Very odd choice by Disney to include it in the parade.

These things have never bothered me before....until I read this description! I actually see that connection. Who thought that this was an OK thing for kids?

And yes, their laugh is really creepy. I think it scares me more as an adult than it did as a kid.

They scared me too when I was a kid. I thought they were neat to look at but if they rolled over too close, it would freak me out. They remind me of the scary clowns in Halloween haunted houses.

Oh, I feel so much better knowing I'm not the only one. We avoid the parade because they're so freaky (and don't even get me started on that stupid Burger King). We should start a support group

I think you all are watching too many horror flicks! Honestly, I like them. They're not clowns, they're mischief makers. C'mon guys, you mean to tell me you're afraid of them, but you're not afraid of Chernabog? Now, that thing really creeped me out when the mountain opened up and his eyes were glowing red. That, plus the music, and smoke, sent me running down the street!
I also think Mickey moving his hands over that crystal ball is eerie. There used to be more electricity with it, and more sound. I think they've toned it down over the years.

They used to freak me out when I first saw the parade. But now I don't mind them, for the simple fact that they aren't walking around, they're all on floats or those ball-things. If they were walking around and coming up to people I would flip out!

I haven't been in DIS for several months, and today I got out my Spectro video to watch. Those guys are just too cute.
