I love them, too. Really makes the parade to me. They just look like happy little pixies. Munchkins, maybe.

Now that freaky slide over at the BW. That is straight out of Stephen King's IT.

We're staying at the BWI this week and I was looking at the pictures of the pool yesterday. The first thing that came to mind was Stephen King's IT. :rotfl2: That clown slide is just creepy. I'm staying far away from that area. :rotfl:

The freaky clowns in the Spectromagic parade creep me out. I thought I was the only one who was afraid of them. :rotfl:

For the halloween parade - the Spectro clowns are pumpkin heads!! Funny thing is they are LESS scary looking in the Halloween parade!! :rotfl2:

Ah ha haaaa! :rotfl2: That king dude is horrifying! Have you seem him running down the football field? Hideous! Is he supposed to make you want to go to BK? I think someone on the marketing team is actually a double agent for McDs!!!!

LoL. I remember the first time I saw SpectroMagic. I was like, what are those things?! They're creepy. I guess I've just gotten used to them.

See, I think the ones that sit on top of the globes are even freakier with their legs flapping around and their arms all reaching and stretching out...<shudder> :scared1:

I KNOW!! Have you seen the one where he's looking into the window (like a King Kong spoof, I think). Anyway, he's just scary!

I always thought of them as a cross between clowns and mimes, neither of which fall into a good catagory for entertainment as far as I'm concerned... then you add the glowing faces and brightly colored hair... then you add the fact that they bob their heads from side to side in a disjointed fashion (or the ones on top of the globe things kick their legs like a baby in need of a diaper change)... and, yeah, I'd have to go with creepy.

They never frightened me (or DS4 either), but I can see where they could do so for some people. They were just never my favorite part of the parade. Glad to know I'm not alone, but I guess everyone has different reactions.

Those commercials are super freaky. The football one is especially bad. I keep hoping someone will nail him good.

i have a theory that the Burger King is really a stalker. I still think that the worst one is the first one where he is just in bed with the guy watching him sleep. Eew.

I know that if the Burger King mated with a Scary Spectromagic clown then the apocalypse would occur. Nothing good can come from the joining of two so evil things.

I agree with Syrreal. We must stop the Burger King from meeting the freaky clowns!
Oh, I HATE those things. And they giggle! What demented mind came up with that?

Maybe that's why Disney "let" McDonalds infiltrate WDW -- to keep the Burger King away!!!

One week from tonight and I'll be spending my first night (this trip) at WDW!

I had one in 03 who was riding on one of the balls, and it stopped in front of me and giggled at me, I looked at my mom and started to cry because I thought he was very creepy! But this summer I was there, same thing happened, and I was fine. And yes, I was 14 then, 16 now. :confused3
My mom told me after she was that she was ready for me to start bawling! :rolleyes1

I was terrified of them when I went the first time, but now I think they're really cool! They make those funny sounds! It must be horrible being one of them though! You probably can't see and you keep getting spun around!

Another one in the minority - I love those little freaks, lol! They're just weird enough to constantly command my attention! :)
