"Codes" are pin codes which offer select people special discounts at WDW. These codes are sent in the form of postcards and/or emails and contain a series of numbers. They are valid for deep discounts - sometimes up to 40% off hotel rooms or free dining but are non-transferable and can only be used by the person who received it.

These discounts are hard to get and there is no way to really figure out who receives one and who doesn't. I recommend signing up for all things Disney and make sure they have your email and mailing address on file. Then, keep your fingers crossed and hope for the best!

Disney every now and then sends out randomly emails and snail mails with a discounted offer that can only be used by the person whose name is on it( they are non transferable)The one that came out not too long ago was for 40% off resort stays on select dates.Not everyone gets one and there os no rhyme or reason who does.To increase your chances go to disneyworld.com and register on the website and sign up for newsletters etc.Also order the vacation Dvd.You may get lucky.

I think its more like people just want to know what codes are out there. There is also a lot of discussion about public discounts like the 4/3 deal or free dining in September (which has not been released yet).

As for the pin codes, if you called Disney and tried to use a code that wasn't yours the names wouldn't match up and they would deny you the discount. Plus, it is against DIS policy to give out pin codes.
