I am new to the DVC and possible "renting" of points, etc. so have a couple of questions:
We go to WDW in Feb/March timeframe spending three/four days at Vero Beach and another 3/4 days at WDW. I am not particularly interested in staying at VB DVC as we typically stay at a newer hotel in the area that is extremely reasonable plus it is closer to Dodger Spring Training.
There are typically three families that travel together - one family with 2 adults and one child; one family with two adults and two children and third family that either has 2 adults and 1 child/sometimes one adult and one child. We've always stayed at the WL in the past which has worked fine.
But this year I was wondering about the possibilities in renting DVC points for us to stay at one of the DVC resorts (Saratoga Springs isn't appealing and OKW isn't really either but better than SSR - so that limits our choices), Does anyone has a "guess" as to whether we would be able to "rent" points for all three families to stay at the same place? We don't have the exact dates either until the Dodgers post their spring training schedule so that makes it difficult to make reservations.
I am wondering with all the "unknowns" we are faced with if it isn't easier to just reserve at the WL or other Disney property and be done with it. Any ideas, thoughts, etc. are appreciated.
