What are the parks like in.......

Thanks for this thread! We are on the Disney Magic Cruise 12/28 through 1/4/05 and I keep debating what we should do afterwards. The kids start back here on 1/5 so we could go straight home, they miss zero school. But the chance to have WDW parks at post-holiday lows attendance wise is a huge draw and for the kids to miss only 3 days (1/5-1/7) doesn't bother me (they're in K and 1st grade so it's really not a big deal).

I did check the the marathon is 1/9 - events start on the 7th (Friday) which is probably the day we'd head home so this could be PERFECT!

Now, does anyone know if they run any room resort specials in early January? AP rates?
