What are the odds of being able to rent a DVC BLT studio (standard view) 2-3 months out?

Maybe for just a night or two?

I hear they go really fast, but you know what they say about curiosity and the cat.

They are usually gone before the 7 month window opens. But if looking only for a night or two you may be able to find one at that time of year 7 months out, but if you wait until three months out chances are much worse.

I doubt you'd get a standard view at 7 months out, but you can always try...you can only have 4 with one under 3 yrs..so unless you are leaving the kiddies at home, you won't fit. You almost need a 2 bedroom.

OP is doing a no-kids anniversary trip.

Standard or MK view no chance. Lake view maybe if you don't go in too busy a season and are very lucky and you find a renter who is willing to waitlist (owners are limited to 2 waitlists so not all will be able to wait list for you). I certainly wouldn't bank on it.

If you want a weekend at BLT really booking at 7 months is very important.

For a stay at the end of April-Early May? Maybe for just a night or two?

As noted, not much chance. At 2-3 months out you may be relegated to AKV standard view, SSR or OKW. If you want the better options you'll have to plan ahead. The choices are complicated by the fact you're renting which makes wait listing more difficult to almost impossible. Easter is late next year, that will negatively affect your chances even more. No harm in trying but you should have a backup plan or get more comfortable with someone you'll rent from and plan ahead further.

Thanks! We've pretty much decided that it is a no-go this coming trip.

(And yes, it would be an adults only trip. :) )
