What are the differences between the Yacht Club and Beach Club?

The YC side of SAB has the shallow kiddie pool. The waterslide area is closer to the BC. Not a big difference since they share SAB, but some people prefer to be near the pool area they'll use the most.

I agree with the op, the quiet pool at the YC is really nice and quiet!

for your suggestions.:goodvibes

One other question ... is the Cape May character breakfast the only reason the lobby of the BC is hectic? Everyone mentions this, so just wondering if this is the only reason.
thanks again,
maureen

I LOVE the YC stayed there in May, and would LOVE to stay there in Feb.:cloud9:

So I am looking ahead to booking a bounceback when we are there in Sept and was considering one of these two hotels. We are staying at Poly this year and did GF last year. We have never stayed in the epcot area hotels.

I think I am leaning towards the YC only because it is an anniversary trip for my dh and I and I am looking for something a little more on the romantic side. I love the look of both of the hotels. I really would want a balcony though. It is odd to me that they dont have as many balconies at the BC. Arent the resorts mirror images of eachother? Also it is odd to me that YC doesnt have its own counter service. This scares me a little to think that all the resort guest from the two hotels all cram into the only one counter service. Doesnt that make it a mad house?

Just these little questions I have prior to booking. TIA. :)

I didn't find the Beach Club lobby hectic. I found it lively. Maybe the same set of activities/behaviors seen through rose-colored glasses? :goodvibes

I wouldn't call the Beach Club Marketplace a true counter service restaurant, especially compared with something like Captain Cook's at the Poly or Roaring Forks at the WL. The Marketplace does not have a grill, has a limited menu, and VERY limited seating. The real counter service here is Hurricane Hanna's out by the pool. We would go down to the Marketplace every morning and pick up a light breakfast (muffins, croissant, or cinnamon bun and beverages in our refillable mugs) to eat in the room. It never seemed too crowded.
