I know at one time, you could only do one transfer of points either in or out per use year, period. Then sometime in 2022(?) they relaxed this to allow unlimited transfers between your own contracts, but kept the limit of one for transfers to/from other members. Then in 2024 they rolled this back and now have a rule of just one transfer again.
I have two contracts - one with a December UY and one with a June UY, so two different member numbers. I transferred some points from the December to the June contract. I executed the transfer in January 2026 for a stay in June 2026. So that's all in my 2025 UY for the December contract, but the transfer happened in my 2025 UY for the June contract, but the stay is in the 2026 UY for that contract. I believe this means I used up the one transfer for the December contract for the 2025 UY. But what about the June contract?
Say I wanted to do another transfer as soon as possible. What would be the first date I'd be eligible to do that? For the December UY, I assume it would be December 1, 2026 because that's the start of my 2026 UY. For the June contract, would I be able to do it on June 1 2026? Or would I have to wait all the way until June 1 2027? If I wanted to do another transfer (either direction) between my own contracts, when would that be possible?
Also, is there any distinction (or difference in rules & limitations) made between transfers between your own contracts, vs transfers from other members?
This is so hard to answer because the rules have changed multiple times, so you find authoritative sources and personal experiences that are quite disparate based on what the rules were at the time. Most don't explain whether a transfer "counts" based on when the stay happens vs when the transfer occurs prior to booking. I appreciate the help figuring this out!
