Thinking of a last minute trip because I have always wanted to see the Christmas decorations and cannot make any weekend work in December. I am wondering if I would kick myself for going @11/28 or 29 (Mon/Tues) after Thanksgiving.

I appreciate any input! I haven't been there in 4 years now and I WANT to go back before my daughter graduates in June.

We went in 2014. The Sunday after Thanksgiving was really busy early on, but started to thin out as the Thanksgiving/weekend crowd started leaving. But Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday after Thanksgiving were very slow, at least compared to Sunday. We had almost no wait times for most of the rides we went on. Even for the ones that did have wait times, they weren't that bad...except maybe Peter Pan's Flight.

We enjoyed the crowd levels so much we're going again this year for the same days!

I've gone that week a couple years in a row. It's not bad at all. Definitely did not feel crowded & the lines were pretty short also (most 30 minutes or under). As long as you don't expect that kind of wait for FEA, you'll be fine. :)

That's the time we go. Use to be less busy, not sure what we will encounter this year, but hoping for the best. There is free dining this year, so that is something we haven't had to contend with before and it has made ressies more difficult to get and also to switch. I'm hoping that's not indicitive of more people being in the parks. That being said, the weather is great, the Christmas decorations are up and it's Disney. You can't go wrong.

Thanks everyone, we bit the bullet and booked Tues-Sat after, got cheap flights and really looking forward to the Christmas décor. ok, now I am off to research, research, research as it is SOclose! thank you all

Actually we're going that week, we picked it due to the low crowd calendars, however I think it's going to be much busier than anticipated. The Tuesday Nov 29 EMM is sold out, and getting ADR's has been very difficult. Disney offered free dining during that time so I think that filled up the resorts. jmo.. I'm expecting high crowds!

thanks, I didn't realize there was free dining offer previously. There are still rooms at all of the values but not the mods I checked so that makes more sense. Thanks for the heads up!

I am going that week also. Hoping the crowds will be lower. Going to MVMCP that Sunday night and Tuesday night.

What is the EMM you are referring too?

We are going that week for free dining. I noticed some ADRs were tough to get, but I booked maybe 150 days out. I'm satisfied with all my FP too. I'm hoping for low crowds! With MK open til 1am on the 30th I think we will have no problem walking on to everything!

Yes I also noticed dining reservations are pretty much all booked up that week. I booked my dining reservations months in advance and I am glad I did.
