LOL...he's my daredevil and wants to ride Expedition Everest SO badly when we visit next Dec., and I saw the height requirement is 44 inches. He's 4½ and 42 inches right now. He's got 11 months to grow 2 inches! :goodvibes

Now is older brother is 48 inches and too chicken to ride most the thrill rides...his brother thinks his height is wasted on him! :rotfl2:

This is from a website I found, the link is also here. Not sure how accurate, but it says 4-5 year olds can grow 3 inches a year. So he should be good by then. If not put on some shoes with thick soles ;)

How much will my child grow?

While all children may grow at a different rate, the following indicate the average for 4 to 5 year old boys and girls:

Weight: average gain of about 4.4 to 6.5 pounds a year

Height: average growth of about 3 inches per year

Head size: average growth of about 1 inch per year

It is from childrens hospital at Stanford. I did a Yahoo search on how much a child will grow in inches per year. If you don't put the "inches per year" in quotes all you get is websites about kids growing up too fast :)

Okay, here is your opportunity to strike while the iron is hot. Tell him to grow the two inches requires eating a lot of broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, brussel sprouts (okay, maybe not brussel sprouts -- you want to motivate, not be mean!) and other healthy foods. No Junk Food! See if you can find a neat picture of EE and place it on your fridge as a constant reminder! And if that doesn't work, there's always gravity inversion boots!

There is also a magician on tv that does levitation. He usually floats about 4 inches off the ground. If you can find out how he does it and teach your child...he usually only floats for a few seconds, but it should be long enough to get by the CM. :wizard:

Our 3 1/2 year old DS grew 2 inches in 3 weeks. :confused3 I was shocked to say the least when we measured him to see if he would be able to ride Stitch (he is a huge Stitch fan). He was borderline 3 weeks prior to our trip. Two days before we left I measured him again and he had grown a little over 2 inches.

My daughter grew 2 inches from August to October. In 11 months it is very possible.

Don't measure him right after they wake up. You'll get a false measurement, about an inch too tall.

Or just make sure you stay at AKL and get him to EE first thing in the morning :rotfl2:
