What are some things you do NOT like about your FAVORITE resort?

We currently own OKW and have owned since 1996...still our favorite, however lack of food choices and buses are an issue.

BWV...first floor near the pool has zero privacy and you have to keep the drapes closed which I don't like.

BLT...far from everything except mk.

I could mention something about every resort, but these are the worst IMO. Only other issue is door knocks, but there are threads for that where I have expressed privacy issues...

BWV, BCV, and RIV are all sort of fighting for the #1 spot for me so here's what I'd say for all 3.

BWV: The fact it's a 2042 resort. I also don't love any of the lunch/dinner options at Boardwalk Deli. Usually just settle for the reuben.

BCV: Again, the fact it's 2042. Again, I don't love any of the lunch/dinner quick service options at Marketplace.

RIV: I don't like that I can't walk to a park. I don't like the restrictions. Also, I haven't found anything I love on the Primo Piatto menu.

As a bonus I'll talk about my other 2 home resorts:

PVB: Always feels crowded. Not the most streamlined luggage process (at least in my experience, taking Island Tower into consideration here). Not the most walkable to MK.

VGF: Travel time/proximity to the other 3 parks.

But no one on this board is in a position to do anything about making changes at the resorts….so all it does is engage the negative part of brain…. I’m not sure why our society finds the need to constantly look for negativity or things to rage about….
Like complaining about the topic of a message board thread

BWV - I wish they had a legitimate QS option. Heck, just do something with the vast wasteland that is the area down towards Atlantic Dancehall (and get rid of that too).
This is my home resort (purchased in 2023) and will be staying there for the first time in September (had to save up points for a 2 bedroom & a studio). This is something I've read a lot of comments/post about. I wonder why they haven't created a real QS option.
I don't anticipate it being an issue for my group as we'll be ordering stuff for the room (lots of kids) but would love to have an option.

For some reason all of the Disney owned resorts around Crescent Lake have pretty lackluster QS options. Prior to buying into DVC we loved staying at the Yacht Club. I can remember when they didn't even have a QS at all at that resort. You had to walk down to Beach Club and then those options were very limited. They've since wedged in a tiny QS place at YC by making the gift shop smaller but it's nothing to write home about.

I wonder if the thinking was everyone would rather go to Epcot for food? Who knows? I've heard good things about the QS options at the Swan and Dolphin, though I've not tried them. Like you we often get groceries delivered and that's usually what we do for breakfast. So it's not a deal breaker for us (and there is Boardwalk Deli though you have to go outside to access it). We will be back there in Nov and I cannot wait!!

Enjoy your trip and welcome home!

OKW: I'd like to say increase the size of Gurgling Suitcase, but then again it's all about the mystique. I would like an eat-in quick service. But that doesn't stop the love!

Swan and Dolphin always come through in a pinch - especially late night at Fuel (in Dolphin).

I've never eaten at either of those, but I do have a res at Rosa Mexicana in October!

I haven’t been to that Rosa Mexicana but it’s generally good!

Fuel is quick service - breakfast sandwiches, coffee, snacks. They used to have a great frozen yogurt bar where you paid by the ounce…but that ship has sailed. 🤣

Poly (I own) - Bought for nostalgia as we stayed there the year it opened and loved.

I don't mind the longish walk to the main bldg (though in the rain.....) but I don't like how insanely dark it is at night. I even don't think the Longhouses (DVC etc.) aren't market really clearly in the darkness. The very few times I walked by myself late at night, I felt uncomfortable.

BCV (I own) and find nothing I don't like because the closeness to Skyliner (adore) and walk into Epcot make everything else perfect.

cozy BWV - Real Favorite is one I was dumb enough not to buy. LOVE that it's attached to the lobby. Don't love the crazy long corridors, though I admit, sometimes we literally ask for far rooms because it's quieter and not many people are passing by...especially with kids that don't know the word "whisper" late at night.

Poly- don’t like how crowded it always is, how you have to compete for space at all of the quick services with non-guests and you feel like you’re on display when swimming

BWV- don’t like that it’s a 2042 resort and not happy about the quick service situation. I also actually liked the clown pool and I’m not happy they changed it. Not a fan of the keister coaster design lol

OG Poly - don't like how they plopped a huge hospital next door with very few amenities so the original resort is even more crowded.

Not my favorite but SSR - can we get a small table and chairs in the studio? That table that lifts up just doesn't cut it for trying to eat in the room.

Poly - as everyone has already noted - has very busy common areas. I love the idea of Poly more than the reality a lot of times 🫤

That said, lake view moorea rooms are a slice of heaven.

Nobody here is anywhere close to raging.
I’m not going to read the thread because for me this board is supposed to be an escape from real life and not a place to nit pick/tear down things that bring me joy, but it was more of a general statement based on a similar concept on the Aulani board.
