Can I fly you here next time my BIL comes over? He’s a typical bigot but I told my husband I would bite my tongue for his sake. I do a light call out when he really goes to far but I’d LOVE to see someone actually call him out on his bs.

I try to be nice, and kinda naive at first, and then, nope. I'd be happy to come up and suggest to him that's he being FAR less of a gentleman than he thinks he is by using such language and escalate from there You don't happen to be close to Montreal do you? Lol!

Sorry, not close to Montreal. I’ve been a few times and I love it there.

My BIL doesn’t see the irony in his constant posting of how he hates that all bikers are judged just because of their leather jackets or boots. Hey *******, you judge whole countries based on religion and what they wear.

Haha! I have tons of personal rules!

* Always have a vacation planned.

* Try to leave a place better than I found it.

* Pick up my trash.

* Bring a book.

* Bring hand sanitizer.

* I can always fit one more thing in the dishwasher.

* Be sweet - growing up, that's what my daddy used to always say to me when he'd tell me bye as he was dropping me off somewhere - "Be sweet. I love you." I sometimes get a little salty w/ my sweet now though... (I've changed the "be sweet" to "be humble & kind" as I've gotten older too.)

* Return the grocery cart to the return stall.

* Don't go out w/o first at least putting on some lipstick.

* Don't wear open-toed shoes if my toenails aren't painted.

* Don't watch scary movies at night when DH isn't home.

* Don't wear white shoes or springy-summery looking clothes after Labor Day. (It's still hot here well into October, so I'll wear shorts & sleeveless tops, but they can't look "summery-springy".)

* Never, ever write "ur" for "your".

* Always have the ingredients for spaghetti on hand.

* Our kids can't have a birthday w/o balloons, & we can't have Christmas w/o oranges & apples in our stockings.

* Stand for the National Anthem w/ my hand on my heart.

And, my husband says my personal motto should be, "If it's worth doing, it's worth overdoing." I don't know if that's a personal rule or not though.
