Ugh, need suggestions please! We are booked for free dining from November 15 through 22nd....and are a family of 4...my significant other is starting a new job nex week and won't be able to join us until November 17. I am not sure how to cut any cost or what to do about him not being there for 2 days of our reservation?

If he is the lead on the reservation, you will have issues.

You won't bw able to take him off without altering your entire reservation.

Call CRO immediately and ask to speak to a supervisor.

don't know that you can cut costs.

you still need the room for you and your kids - so just go. use his extra meal choices for when he is there - you and he go out to some nicer place than you would otherwise. of course that would add to the cost - kids club/babysitter.

now change the dates if you - he has a nice employer most will not let new employee even go on vacation until they have been there at least 6 months to a year.

I wouldn't change anything. If the other two are kids under 18, there's really nothing you can do to lower the cost of him not being there the first 2 nights. If there is someone 18 or older and you are being charged an extra adult fee for all nights, you can take him off of the reservation and add him on when you arrive; however, he would not get free dining and would have to pay for his meals OOP, which would probably cost more in the long run. As far as park tickets go, you could downgrade to the number of days he needs and then everyone else could upgrade once you arrive to accommodate the extra days you will be there. If everyone is asked to be present at check in, I would explain the situation at that time and ask if his KTTW card/DDP credits could be activated when he arrives. Good luck.

I wouldn't bother with downgrading the tickets just to add the 2 days back for everyone but her husband. If the OP bought 8 day tickets, a 6 day ticket is only $20 less.
