What are my waitlist chances in March

I'm taking DD on a surprise trip March 13-18 for her birthday. Origonally I was back and forth on whether to book BLT or try something new at AKV. After talking about it on here I decided to stick with AKV and removed the WL for BLT.

DH mentioned the other day that he really wished I hadn't booked somewhere we hadn't all stayed yet. Then I started thinking about how it would probably be nice to be closer to MK since that is where DD will want to spend most of her time. So I called back a couple weeks ago and did a WL again for BLT for either lake view or theme park view.

Do you think I have any chance of getting it at this point? I did ask them to keep the WL active up to the 7 day mark or whatever the latest possible time was. I've been calling every couple of days to check availability and there is often one day out of the time available but never the whole time.

I just called to check again and she said they have the 13th, 14th and the 17 available at BLT but not the 15th and 16th. I was temped to take them and pray the others come through but it would really suck to have to change resorts not once, but twice.

Would you consider a splt stay and be willing to move once? You could call back and see if you could book the 13th and 14th--that way, your wait list could be just the 15th - 17th. 3 day wait lists are easier than 5 day.

And, they might let you wait list just the 15th as well since you can have two WL at once--it could work to put it together night by night

I was thinking I might try that. I didn't know if it was worth fooling with it. Is it a pain to change resorts?

I'll call this morning and see if the first two nights are still available and then do a WL for the 15th and a seperate one for the 15th through 17th if they will let me.

I called back this morning and the only thing left available was the 17th so I just changed my waitlist to 2 days and 3 days in the LV. Hopefully one or the other will get picked up.

I will keep calling each day to check and see. Since there seems to be some time in between when the days go back into inventory and when they are picked up for WL.

Maybe I'll get lucky and get them both!

ETA: I did ask how quickly they go to a WL and she said within minutes but it seems from reading on here that they don't and that you have a better chance if you call in and check.
