Right now we have a preferred view studio booked at the BWV. My Mom decided to come with us and we wanted to upgrade to a one bedroom . We are going the week of Oct 24th. What are chances the waitlist will come through? I do realize it is a long shot but we are hoping!
I was thinking maybe you guys could give me some perspective.

I'd say your chances are good, since you are still 4+ months out. Did you waitlist ONLY BWV? If you are waitlisted at any WDW DVC resort, that would really improve your chances.

We really wanted BWV and we would like to keep it down to 90 points so that would be a syandard view, Thanks for the hope!::yes::

There are very few standard view rooms at BWV (total standard views are about 20% of the rooms). You are really limiting yourself with the waitlist. It may not happen for you. You'd have a better chance of getting a one bedroom at OKW for about the same points. Or SSR for slightly more points.

You still only have room for 4 persons plus one under the age of three with the one bedroom.

I am going October 31 to November 5. At 11 months, I reserved a one bedroom at BCV. At the seven month mark, I changed to BWV. I was able to book our last three nights in a one bedroom standard view, but had to wait list for our first two nights (I booked the preferred view for those). Saturday, in the mail, I received my confirmation that one of my wait listed nights came through! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that our first night opens up.

So ya never know. This far out, I would think our chances are pretty good that something will open up.

Good luck! :D

I've waitlisted 2 times for OKW and always got it. I booked w/o a waitlist at all at BWV for 7/2-9/04 1bdrm standard view at 6 1/2 months out - and I had to recently change a ressie for May 27-31 at okw(DH and DD are at WDW) from a 1 bdrm then to a two bdrm then back to a 1bdrm and NEVER had any problems!

Point is waitlist for what you want - but always be willing to be flexable. Put in for the BWV 1bdrm any view and if you get the PREF view - then specifically waitlist for the standard view - Many folks do waitlist day by day - I prefer chancing for the entire ressie as I don't like to change resorts or rooms during vacation.

GOOD LUCK
Sue

Better waitlist for any view. Food & Wine Fest is going on in October and all the Epcot resorts are in high demand. I would cover myself, and if the preferred view comes, take it and waitlist for Standard.
