What amenities ...

OKW -- Boat to DD, Walking around the resort, Olivia's for relaxed meals, renting canopy boat, member update meetings, sitting on the porch and enjoying the quiet views

BCV -- walking to MGM & Epcot, exceptional array of dining options from MGM to BW to Epcot and all of the resorts in between, Friendship boats from MGM, renting canopy boat, DVD's, SAB, Illuminations from our balcony

VB -- walking along the beach, miniature golf, pool/slide, just plain relaxing, walking the nature trail on other side of highway, VHS tapes

All resorts -- talking with CMs, enjoying the incredible theme detail and design, shopping

At OKW we have a poolside BBQ at least once per trip. The BBQ facilities are great, with a picnic table and BBQ, usually semi-private so that you don't bother your neighbours.

We also use the quiet pools, and have used the DTD boat once.

We're not much into valet parking or bell services, so we have never used those amenities.

Good lord, must everything be a contest or a snide remark? As it has been pointed out, elevators are an amenity if you have kids and strollers or someone who cannot climb stairs for whatever reason. Yes, you COULD stay on the first floor, but with the AMENITY of an elevator (which some people enjoy having) you are not limited.

Why can't you just stick to talking about things that YOU enjoy in a resort rather than making fun of things OTHER people enjoy?
Well said, thank you for making the point. Seems to be a constant, tiring theme out of some posters.

I like the tall showerheads and the fact the rooms are fairly kid proofed. I like the information channels and the hidden mickeys.

Even when your room is on the first floor?
Yep because at BWV there are no rooms on the first floor all villas begin at the lobby level, so if you take the boat or walk back from Epcot or MGM or were out enjoying a stroll on the boardwalk or eating in one of the numerous wonderful restaurants that are within walking distance of BWV and you have children in a stroller that you do not wish to take out of the stroller, you need to take the elevator from the boardwalk level to at least the lobby level where the villas begin.
BTW, the orginial post was what amenities do you take advantage of. Since not all DVC resorts have elevators in all buildings etc., I think the elevator would be considered an amenity, just like the parking lots located in front of every building at OKW is considered an amenity and that many take advantage of.

You don't seem to have preschoolers. We will ride elevators just to push the buttons and open the doors. Not a highlight of my trip, but the kids think its definately part of the hotel's feature set. They don't get much enjoyment out of the Bellvue Room - we don't get much enjoyment out of the elevators....but to each his own.
You should take the kids to the Contemporary to ride the elevators one day. Their elevators talk to you in the character voices! These were my kids favorite elevators for years at WDW.
I still get a chuckle out of the Contemporary elevators. You are absolutely right though, kids love elevators. God forbid if someone pushes the button when it is not their turn, LOL!! Using the room key to open the resort room door was also another biggie for my kids when they were young and we stayed in resorts.
