I like LAX.
This trip it's a total of $80 cheaper, and that is just in taxes and fees (b/c the base fares were exactly the same to/from SNA and LAX), for the three of us. Since the difference in Grayline
Disneyland Express or Super Shuttle from/to LAX vs SNA does not even come *close* to $80, we chose LAX.
Sure SNA is closer, but I kinda like the ride in...relaxes me from the airplane stuff.
If I ever find a flight that doesn't have a stop before SNA, and therefore doesn't have to pay double the taxes/fees, I'll do it again...I just haven't found such a flight yet.
Also, it's always best to find out ALL the transportation info before choosing an airport (if money/transport options are part of your figuring-it-out). I once assumed that Super shuttle costs were the same from all the airports, and booked myself to ONT instead of SNA, as they were the same cost. Whoopsie, ONT is just about the most expensive of all of them, with Super Shuttle. BIG difference in cost.
and lastly, if thinking about SuperShuttle, use the *hotel name* to get a quote, NOT the zipcode. There's a hefty price difference for reasons only truly known to them...use the hotel name.
