We are going to Disney next Oct when DS will be 6. Has anyone taken a 6 year old to this show before? We go to the movies all the time and he is good in the theater. I just don't know if this show will keep his attention or if he is just plain too young for it.
Any opinions will be appreciated!!!!!

My son has seen Cirque du Soleil shows many many times. We have seen them in Disney, Las Vegas and Chicago. The first time he saw Cirque was when he was 4 years old, and he was totally amazed by it! He never got bored and that is why we have seen their shows so many times. I definately think your 6 year old is old enough to be able to sit through the show. We are actually taking our daughter in Dec. to her first Cirque show at WDW. She just turned 2. I know with all the lights and action and music she will be so interested in what is going on all around her! We have seen many toddlers at the shows and they all seem to be quiet!!!:wave2:

My dd age 6 will be going in November - she has been to the theater before and has always enjoyed the show (although she hates the movies, no idea why one is ok and one isn't)

we have arranged a babysitter for DD age 13 months as I don't think she would enjoy it, and I think I will enjoy it more without worrying about her.

I think 6 is perfect! We took our son to a traveling show, Alegria and we were in the front row...now THAT was a little much for him. When they came flying ta his face and the wind was blowing right at him, but otherwise.... he loved it. He LOVES to watch it on the TV and he does talk about it alot. Coolest thing that heppened at Alegria was one of the cast remember that was spotting leaned over and asked if Nick was okay because he was crying. No one could hear it through the music but that man saw it.. that was just the nicest thing!!!!!

GO for it! We'll be taking Nick next year when he's 5 and a half and it'll be awsome! We saw La Nouba opening year and unless it's changed I don't recall anything that could possibly scare a child at least over 2 or 3.

I took DS when he was 5, he was a little scared to go at first but I dragged him anyway - I think it was the first time in his life that he was completely quite for more than 30 seconds. He was in awe!! He still loves it, we watch whenever it's on Bravo!

We took my 2 yr old son who cant sit still for long. My dad was taking bets as to how long we would go before having to take my son out. Guess what, he didnt budge the entire 1:45 minutes! He sat in his seat the entire time and watched everything. I dont even think he made a peep! There is constant action and stuff going on all over the stage, even up above.
