What age did you get dd's ears pierced? UPDATE ORIGINAL POST

oldest was 6months younger daughter was 2 weeks. Never had a problem with either and they both have multiple piercings now

that's when we allowed are DD to have hers pierced -- that's at about 7 yrs. old. My sister thought she already had her ears pierced and had given her pierced earrings (religious crosses) and it worked out perfectly!

A few years later, she wanted a second hole in each ear, and we said when she has her Confirmation.

So, it's kind of been a religious timing thing with us.

Now DD is 16 and wants a 3rd piercing, but not in the ear lobe. In the area closest to the head in that kind of cartilege area? We said she had to wait until she's 18. That's all I hear now -- I can't wait until I'm 18...

I think I was 7 or 8 when I got mine done.

DD got them when she was four going on five. We were on our Florida trip, and visiting my aunt. ( who is a beautician/stylist)

My aunt asked if she wanted them done, since she had her gun/starters at home...

She said yes, got one ear done, cried, and then we had to do the other...


She has two pair of starters...
as for the cleaning we have been doing it for her.. no problems.

DD is 12 and hasn't asked. I suppose I would let her and I'm sure the question is coming!

I was 13, DD was 4. DS was madder than heck when DD got them done and DH wouldn't let DS get an ear pierced.

I had mine done at my doctor's office when I was in first grade. My dh doesn't want our dd's ears pierced (which I intended to have done when she was 6mos old) until she is at least 13.

He has been telling her that it will hurt and now she is afraid and doesn't want them. She is now 6 years old and in the first grade. Most of her friends have their ears pierced and peer pressure hasn't kicked in yet.

Mskani, my dh thought it was too young, but said he would not be mad if I had it done. I will say she has been floating on cloud 9 since Friday night and it really does look cute. Her b'day is Oct, and she got her light pink birthstone. When I had it done, you didn't get a choice of earring, just the gold stud.....as with everything else, things have really changed.

My DD was about 12 weeks. And then I just cried....But she is 12 now and had never had any problems.
