What "adult" things are there to do now?

My husband and I were very put out when Disney did away with the 'adult' part called Pleasure Island. We truly enjoyed going there every trip at least a few times. We both love to dance and always had a great time.

With that and a few other things that occurred on our last trip, we haven't been back since 2008. Is there anything new there now for adults to enjoy? Any dance venues? I know all about the nice dining options but you can only dine so much. What else for the mature crowd to do? (mature as in 50's)

Thanks for all responses,

Even though the clubs are gone on Pleasure Island there are still a few bars. There is a tequila bar over there (the name escapes me) and also Raglan Road has a bar and an outdoor patio and they usually have music in the evening. There's also the House of Blues over at the WestSide and over at the Boardwalk is Jellyrolls. Also, the resorts on the monorail loop tend to have a bar area. Have fun!

I just did an 8 day, all resorts, no parks trip last year and had a blast.

WL has a wonderful lounge, called Territory Lounge. Great snacks and people come and go all evening. Love to take the boat ride over from MK entrance.

Have dinner at Sanaa at AKV and then stroll out on the walkway on the Savannah. If it is after dark, CM's will be out there to hand out night vision goggles to view the animals on the Savanahh.

The BW area has nightly entertainment, as well as the ESPN club. Swolphin both have nice bars; but a bit pricey.

At DTD, there is Paradisio 37 (both bar and outdoor seating), and Raglan Road has entertainment. Both have awesome appetizers to munch on. House of Blues just updated their menu and it was quite good; the entertainment is spotty, but not bad (nothing to write home about).

RFC has a great bar and they play college games on the weekends on TV. I prefer the one at DTD.

POR has a lounge, with Yee-hah Bob Wednesday through Sunday. A little campy, but fun just the same. POFQ has Eliot Dyson, same schedule, who plays jazz. Both just a boat ride from DTD.

The Wave in CR has a fantastic bar and also great upscale american food.

Via Napoli in Epcot has a great bar. It is a bit small, but so does Yak 'n Yeti in AK. Again, both have great appetizers and good desserts.

I also enjoy eating late afternoon at the GF cafe. It feels like you are dining in someone's sun porch.

Just echoing that Jellyrolls and Raglan Road are pretty safe bets .. there are bars at pretty much all the deluxe and moderate resorts, so take your pick on surroundings.

It's too bad they couldn't keep Adventure's Club ,. that one could have stood on it's own.

Last trip I did "Lunch with an Animal Keeper" (at Sanaa) and the Wanyama Safari (for that you need to be staying at AKL). Over at POFQ, there's a lounge with a live jazz player.

No offense gang and I do appreciate the help but we like to dance. There are a gadzillion places to have a drink at a bar. We want comedy, or dancing.

I'm still flabbergasted that they got rid of the Adventurers Club. That place was always packed when we were in there in years past.

I understand that Disney is a 'family' place but they should also consider those of us who's kids are grown. We still enjoy a good time as well.

Here, here! We don't drink, so our options are limited to eating. We're going to try the new dining option at AMC, but there's no dancing available unless the Atlantic Dance Hall at BW is open...close to never. Unless you like to drink in different environments, Disney has abandoned adults. I still love it there, but I miss Comedy Warehouse and Adventurers' Club every trip.

So, they are closed a lot? We were planning to go there.

Dancing, pretty much stuck with Atlantic Dance Hall. Crowds are very hit or miss there, closed Sunday/Monday. You could also try Rix in Coronado Springs, but I haven't heard a report from there in ages, last suggested it was becoming more of a sports bar.

Comedy, there's dueling pianos at Jelly Rolls (not exactly comedy, but sort of). That's about it.

No dancing, but Kimonoes in the Swan does have Karoake later at night and it can get pretty entertaining in there, particularly when there's a convention in town.

Jellyrolls is comedy after a fashion...sort of. Atlantic Dance is often open, but often empty. As in, dead-as-a-doornail empty. You can go, and dance, but it will not be anything like a club experience. If there's a convention at CSR, you *might* find some lively times at Rix Lounge---but it really depends on the crowd that is there at any particular night.

If this is really what you are looking for, consider cabbing to someplace that has it. Universal's City Walk would be a good place to start. WDW just doesn't have much of anything beyond the "boy this lounge sure is quiet" lounges around the Deluxe resorts.

Taxi to City Walk. That's about it.

The only adult only venues left are Rix, Atlantic Dance and Jellyrolls.

Too add to Jason71's suggestions: there's the comedy/piano bob guy (sorry can't think of his shtick off the top of my head) at POR. I went to Rix's at CSR a couple of months ago and was put off by the convention attendees. It has a little more of an upscale/ultra lounge vibe.

Folks, she's looking for dancing, not a bar, not comedy, not sing-along. On Disney property this limits you to:

HOUSE OF BLUES - Sunday nights are packed for House/Dance music by DJ's. Tuesday nights are packed for their Latin night.

BONGOS - Latin bands and DJ on Friday/Saturday nights.

ATLANTIC DANCE HALL - DJ's on Tuesday through Saturday nights; crowds (or lack of) depend on whether there are convention groups at the adjoining Swan/Dolphin hotels.

RIX LOUNGE - there is a DJ and there is a dance floor but it's more of a sports bar. But people do dance if there's a convention at Coronado Springs Resort.

And that is it. CityWalk at Universal offers a multi-club format similar to PI with The Groove offering something similar to what Motion was. Downtown Orlando has tons of dance clubs if you have a car. My non-commercial website shows options based on the former PI clubs:
