When buying a DVC membership through Disney, what other fees would I need to pay in addition to the price per point.

I hear that Disney pays for all closing costs - is this correct?

What else can I expect to be tacked on to the final price, if anything?

There are no additional fees. DVC covers the closing costs.

The only thing you'd be responsible for after paying the per point costs are the maintenance fees. If you purchased now, you'd be responsible for paying a prorated amount of the 2005 dues (approx. 2 months worth), but you wouldn't have to pay that for a couple of months (after you officially close). However, those fees aren't part of the final price.

Also, do you or does anyone know if we would get 2005 points if we bought now? If we were to buy 210 points using the SSR special deal going on now, and lets say our UY is June, would we get 210 points now and then another 210 points in June 2006?

Yes, you get the 205 points as soon as you sign up. So you'd have 210 points to use now (or bank into 2006) and then on June 1, 2006, you'd get your 210 points for the '06 UY.

Wasn't DVC giving you free dues for the rest of the year, are they still doing so? It's certainly not the benefit it was earlier in the year though.
