DH's company is putting siding on the house of a former TA in town. They got to talking Disney today. She likes the cruises better than the parks! He asked her about the 3 day vs. the 4 day (which we are hashing out for 2003, using mostly DVC points). Which one does she like better? "The 7 day!" :) Well if that is an option we are going to have to do another add-on;) but I told him for now to TRY to get her to answer the question, 3 or 4 day!

It doesn't surprise me at all to hear about someone who prefers the cruise to WDW. We used to go to the parks at least once a year, but lately we've been dissapointed due to some awful changes (like the ruining of Journey into Imagination) and a general downward spiral of the overall "show." We used to combine a cruise and WDW trip around Labor Day, but this year we are skipping the parks and just doing three Wonder cruises in a row!

I have been a fanatic WDW fan and lover of the parks (I even had my honeymoon there 22 years ago).....but on my last few visits I have also seen a decline in service and pixie dust with an increase in price. I think I can honestly say I love the DCL cruise experience better now than the park experience.

My hubby and kids agree, though we would not turn down a vacation to WDW, the cruise service and "Magic" is much better.

We just returned from 5 days at wdw and a 4 night cruise. Our DS7 and DS3 enjoyed both. When ask to pick thier favorate part of the trip, both agreed the cruise. As for your question, 3 or 4 night, go with a 4 night. Even 4 nights seem to go by to fast. Our first cruise was a 3 night cruise and it seemed it was over before it began. I am sure you will enjoy what ever you decide.

We stayed 9 nights at the Wilderness Lodge Oct 2001. Oct 2003 we are returning to VWL and staying at our "home" for the first time using points.
Since we joined DVC Nov 2001 we rolled over last years points to this year. This Nov we are cruising 7days on the Disney Magic Eastern Caribbean. (I cruised NCL Western Caribb Dec 2001)

Well, having done the 3-day and the 7-day, I have to agree with former TA!! The 7-day is the best. However, if you are only doing the 3-day or 4-day, I'd go with the 4-day since it goes by sooo fast! HTH
