I can see that. I actually applied to volunteer this year since I live in driving distance. I know it went through as I got a confirmation and it said I'd hear something by April 1, but I never got any further communication and nothing ever showed up in my BAA account.

I think I read that they turned away 2000 people that registered but weren't needed. But they should have sent a “sorry, but” message. I think the first time I tried to volunteer I didn’t get in but got a response.

I just wish Boston was not part of the Majors, or wish it wasn't required to run it to earn the 6-star finisher, now that Sydney has been added. I've always been one to say "never say never", but I can confidently say that the chances of me ever qualifying are slim to none, downhill or not, nor do I want the pressure of the steep fundraising requirement.

I kind of did that for Honolulu. I’m doing the 10k and it starts with the marathon at 5am. I thought that should be easy, Disney starts at 5am.
