LOL...The elder sister already said she wants to stay at WL just like her uncle did. It would be a truly magical experience if they all can go. She's at her perfect age to enjoy Disney too.

Oh...you know I will have more than just one camera with me. A main camera, a back up camera and a back up of a back up camera. :lmao:

I can see it now- just like a Goofy cartoon. Topdog all hunched over, face to the ground with camera equipment stacked on his back like a mountain so he has just the right equipment to capture every moment. :rotfl2: And that's only if someone else goes along to to lug the diaper bag! :lmao:

AP is one of the best right next to Jiko as far as I am concern. The food there was fantastic.

Jillpie, thank you for the compliment. Unfortunately, I only took a handful of pictures at the BC resort and no I didn't take any pictures fo the Great Movie Ride. I am not good at taking indoor ride picture yet.

So glad you like my TR. I hope you have a great trip at WDW. A little magic dust your way. pixiedust:

LOL...All my bro & sis still talked about the "incident" whenever they got the chance.

The disaster shall reveal on my next installment.;)

Yes. You will soon find out.

Thank you.

That's not the first time I ran into trouble like that. On our last trip, I was wearing my Scooby Doo golf shirt at EPCOT. When we were have lunch at the restaurant in the building where Soaring is at, forgot the name of the restaurant, (All I can remember was the restaurant seating area spin around the whole time.) Pluto stop by and hang around our table. He was not a happy camper when he saw my shirt. :lmao: Woof! Woof!!

Thank you Tiki Room Fan. DW's dessert taste great too but I like mine better. Only if they can make it larger.

Our dinner at AP was great indeed.

Thanks GB. I was a little disappoint about the buffalo because it was out of this world the last time I had it at AP. BTW, I had some southern country biscuit at NC and I like my plain. My goodness, I think I just gain another 5 pounds. :rotfl:

Thanks KSD. I really wish they had buffalo there that day. But over all, dinner was still fantastic. I can eat 3 or 4 of that dessert. LOL...

Trying to sneak out for donut and internet wasn't easy. My SIL leave in a fairly remote area. It's 15 miles minimum to the closest Krispy Kreme. Arghh...

)

Topdog, Your neice is adorable. I'm way behind on your report(page 10), but hope to get caught up soon. Where in NC did you go? I live in NC and am only about 3 blocks from Krispy Kreme, next time I go I will eat a HOT donut for you!:rotfl: The BBQ around here is good, isn't it! Biscuits too.

Welcome Back!! Your grand niece is adorable.

It sounds like you have the beginning of a trip planned in your head. You know this is where all of the trips start. Someone says something that gets you thinking. HUM??? I wonder??

Day #5 (Thursday) Part 5

We were able to finish dinner by 7:00pm. So by the time we wait for the bus and arrive EPCOT, it was not even 8:00pm. Sky was already dark and temperature was still warm. It was our first day at EPCOT since we arrived WDW. We stop and took a picture of the globe and the surrounding as soon as we walked in but wasn't realize there was something different to the globe compared to 3 years ago. (The magic wand was missing.)

After that, we walked straight to world showcase and walked counter clockwise to find a spot we can get a good view of the firework. The world showcase area was already packed with people by then. Every where we go, people were every where. We can't even near the fence area. As we were walking, I realize how difficult to find a good spot to take pictures. There was very limited good viewing area. There were a lot of trees and shrubs by the fence area. Any spot that was clear, then you have either a light post or torch tower in the way. So we settle at the Canada area.

There was a small opening right by the fence and a garbage can right in the middle. A couple already occupied by the right side of the garbage can. There was nothing to obstruct my line of sight to the lagoon. Both side of the fence were boulders that stacked higher than me. Since it was a small opening area, I don't have to worry about people crowed in from either side. It was about as perfect as it can be.

So I set my tripod on top of the garbage can. Now I don't have to worry about people accidentially trip over the tripod and DW stood over to my right. Perfect setup!! At least I thought it was a perfect setup. I got everything set and ready before 8:30pm. So DW and I were talking. Suddenly the guy comes up from behind and proceed to climb over the fence and then to the top of the boulder. DW and I and the couple looked at each other wondering what to do. By then, the guy already pull up another woman and a child up to the boulder so they all can watch the firework from the top.

In no less than 5 minutes, a CM came by and ask those people to get off from the boulder. So they had no choice but climb back down. Then the couple and us began to talk since now we have topic. First we said how bold those people were and then I chime in that's a liability issue. It turns out. These couple came from Oaklahoma. They came to WDW every year and the husband is a big photography fan. They told us they did the Segway tour and how wonderful the tour was.

As we were talking, a loud announcement came out from the PA system stating firework will begin in about 10 minutes. Suddenly, the boulder that the guy climbed on to before begin to rise. That caught every one by surprise. It turns out the boulder was a fake. It was a camouflage for stage light. LOL... The boulder certainly fool us. I really thought that was real.

In no time, firework began. The firework was nice but I thought "Wishes" was better. Beside the inferno was not working that night but they did have the globe out. But once firework begins, the crowd just move in from behind and almost knock my camera off the garbage can. This one guy behind me was taking video with one hand and used his other hand to lean on the garbage can. I have to constantly fence him off from the garbage can so he doesn't rock it. I was very nervous to say the least. Despite my best effort, I managed to get a few good shot.

When the firework was over, I slowly packed all my gear and DW wants to go treasure hunting on the glass. So we stopped on a few gift shop by the world showcase with no luck. As we start walking towards the entrance, we stop a took a few more shot of the globe from the back side.

After that, we went to the large gift shop "Mouse Gears" across from the Innoventions. We look and look and look and finally, I spotted one glass. But there was only one left and DW wants two. It doesn't matter at this point. I told DW we'll continue to hunt for the second one. We hung around to look some more until we decide to pay for the glass. So we wait in line and there was a woman behind us with her daughter. The woman had the throw with her because she wants to buy the throw without spending the $50 first. She only want to buy the throw alone.

As the woman and us chat until it's our turn to pay for the glass. I reach out to my back pocket to get my wallet so I can pay it with the Disney gift card. The glass is only $8 anyway. Suddenly, I have that sick to my stomach feeling again. :scared: I can't feel the wallet in my back pocket.

Here is what happened. I always carried two wallets. One for my driver license, insurance card, AAA membership card with some other miscellaneous IDs. The other wallet has all the credit cards and cash. This wallet usually is the size of a triple decker sandwich like the one George Costanza has. However, I do not want to carry something that large around WDW. So I switch the big wallet to a different smaller wallet and just has 1 credit card, the Disney giftcard and some cash for easy carrying.

As soon as I realize my wallet was not in my back pocket, I panic immediately. I told DW to pay the glass herself with either the room key or whatever cash she had. I ran back to every corner of the gift shop hoping I misplaced or dropped it some where in the gift shop. Not even sure why I did that maybe I just want to hope miracle can happen.

After running around the gift shop for 10 minutes like a chicken without its' head. Finally, I have to accept the fact I lost my wallet and it is no where to be find. My only guess would be I left it on the counter where we bought the throw at the gift shop in DHS this afternoon. That was the last time I took out that wallet. Because we were going back and forth with the store manager and excited we were able to get the throw. I must've left it at the counter without realizing it. Obviously, I was not happy about the lost of my wallet. But it was late and we were at a different park, there is nothing we can do at that point.

The total lost, about $100 left on the Disney gift card. Cash was a little hefty. Let's just say there's enough money to buy me 3 extra days of DxDP. DW was very upset and I tried to down play the situation. After all, I didn't loose my second wallet which has my driver license. It could've been a lot worse. I wish I have an answer why I carried so much cash on me because normal I don't like to carry cash. Typically, I left most of the valuable in the room safe.

So we left EPCOT with a very depressing mood. Then while we were on the bus, it darn on me I have a credit card in the wallet too. Grrr... Fortunately, that card has a very low limit. Since I can't remember the card number nor I know what number to call to report the lost card, I will have to wait until we get home in order to call for a replacement card.

Once we got back to our room, it was almost 11pm and we were tired. After a hot shower, we went to bed right away and call it the night. We need the rest anyway because tomorrow is another long day back at EPCOT. My feet really need a good rest.

OMG! Topdog, your little niece is soooo cute!!!!! Awwww!:goodvibes
Thanks. She's really a happy baby and drool a lot. :rotfl2:

Some how, I can see that image too. LOL... As for the diaper bag, well...her daddy can take care of that one. :lmao:

Thank you uncw89. Take your time. My TR still has a way to go. I was at a small town call LaGrange. It's right next to Goldsboro where I went to Krispy Kreme. I believe it's only a mile away from the Seymoure Johnson AFB entrance. The BBQ at NC is the bomb. If it wasn't because I don't do well at hot weather area, (my allergy gets really bad in hot & humid area and my eyes sometime will swell up so bad, I can't open my eyes.) I would consider move down there.
Welcome Back!! Your grand niece is adorable.

Thanks. I wish I can have a trip plan with them but it will take them a long time to save for the trip.
She is so sweet!!! princess:
Thanks. She's a great baby or my photography skill make her look real good. :rotfl2:

I hate to hear about your wallet. I hope it turned up somewhere, somehow! I've been in a similar situation so I know how you feel!

So sorry about the wallet. Maybe someone found it and Disney will track you down and mail it back, cash and all. I know I would send it back if I found it - in the hopes that someone would do the same for me. Love the pictures of the globe - did you use a tripod for those shots too? And do you always use a manual mode rather the automatic picture modes? I'm sending pixie dust that the wallet just shows up in the mail!!

Great update! I LOVED the Epcot photos. There were just awesome! So sorry to hear about the wallet. No wonder you labled the TR a Disaster!

Your little grand niece is so stinking adorable!! I could just squish her little cheeks:goodvibes. Did you ever get your wallet back? Hopefully some kind soul turned it in for you. Love the Epcot pictures!! Can't wait to hear more!

So sorry to hear about the wallet!! I hope it shows up too!

Love, love, love the pics of the globe, those are the best I've ever seen!!:cool1:

Yay! Another photographer! I'm so in and looking forward to all the food pics. I'm only on page 6 but awesome job so far! :thumbsup2

OMG Topdog!! Your little grand niece is just tooooo cute for words! I have no words!! LOL!

WOW!!! Amazing pictures of the EPCOT globe. I love that at night with all the colors. Your pictures are so sharp and clear. Just when I think you've posted the best of the best of your pictures, you top them with even better ones. Too funny about the family on the boulder. I was surprised too, the first time I saw a boulder rise up at EPCOT and found out it was a speaker. LOL

So this George Costanza wallet you have, when you sit down with it in your pocket, are you sitting on a slant, too?? LOL!! :lmao:
BUMMER about losing your wallet!!! I'm hoping that later in your TR you get it back. One of my visits to Disney I was in I think the Pooh gift shop, and saw $20 lying on the floor in this little clearing - the rest of the store was packed, crowded. I looked around and didn't see anyone, so I decided to pick it up and observe the people in the store. I had this feeling the $20 belonged to a kid. I figured I'd likely see someone frantically searching for their lost money. Sure enough...I overheard a mom scolding her son for dropping the money she gave him to spend on something for himself. I walked over and asked if they were looking for this? They were sooooooooo happy that I found their money and gave it back!! I got the warm fuzzies, too!!! So, I'm hoping you got your wallet back and that the CM at the store, if that's where you left it, held onto it for you.

But, on a much better note ....YAY!!!! Your DW has one glass so far!!!!!! :woohoo:

OH NOOOO!!!! :scared1: First the camera and now the wallet. Hopefully youll get lucky and get the wallet back with everything in it.

Your grand niece is so adorable. I love how bright her eyes are, you can see a lot of expression by watching their eyes. Just a pretty little girl. Glad you got home safe and had a good time.

Oh No!!! I hope you find your wallet!!! And if you didn't, I hope that you and DW didn't let it ruin the rest of your trip!! (I would have a hard time enjoying myself after that!)

Gorgeous pics!!!! Love, love , love the colors on the globe!!!!
