What a disaster!!

The description of the Geroge Castanza wallet made me laugh out loud! :rotfl2: My dad carries one like that too.

Hopefully your wallet finds its way back to you. DH and I were at a 4 day music festival in TN - with 100K of our "closest friends." We found a wallet on the ground WITH the ID in it. We mailed it back to its owner. Maybe someone went through the trouble to find out if you were on property and got it back to you.

First of all, your niece is just about the most adorable thing I've ever seen! So sorry for her medical troubles - hopefully she will outgrow it like you said. She is just precious.

Secondly, my heart absolutely bleeds for you losing your wallet. I can't imagine the sheer panic that went thru you when you realized you didn't have it. I mean, that's break out in a cold sweat kind of terror.

I am in agreeance with others who hope that some kind hearted soul found it and returned it to you. Perhaps the store clerk at the gift shop????

Can't wait to hear more of the adventures of topdog! More great pics, by the way. Love the photos of Epcot. Miss the wand on the globe, too, I'll have to say. It screamed DISNEY!!!!!!!!!!

(My 4 yr. old son calls the globe "the giant golf ball". :lmao:)

First of all, AWESOME pics! I am going to show my kids and DH what we missed by not going out at night. Hopefully the next trip the kids can stay out later w/out getting crabby. Second, I burst out laughing at the George Castanza wallet! :rotfl: I just saw that episode a few weeks ago. Third, when you said you lost it and couldn't find it, I was sick to my stomach. :sad1: I know of the terror with which you speak. I left my purse at a hotel, but it took me a couple of days to figure it out because we were in a minor accident on the way home and thought the purse was lost in the mess. Once I discovered it was at the hotel I had to call three times to describe it and get them to send it to me. It was a long 2 weeks, but amazingly enough everything was there. :sad2: I sure you hope you get it back soon, with all your cash and cards, and no stolen identity problems. I have had that happen too. What a headache! Needless to say, my wallet only has bare essentials in it and we don't use cards any more.
Can't wait to see what happens next! I will be sitting by my computer anxiously awaiting your next instalment. :surfweb:

I'm just reading this TR, have been trying to get my own done and failing miserably. Although I'm fairly sure that has a lot to do with trying to convince a few people to go again this fall. All that arm twisting has been distracting!

The souvenir that got away. I am very familiar with this one! There is a mug I MUST go back to Epcot to get. I did see those glasses at a couple of places, like you I assumed they would be everywhere, I wanted to get my mom 2 of the wine ones. They were NOT as plentiful as I'd assumed and when I finally saw them again I snapped them up.

We left stuff in a locker one night and had to go back the next day...I hope I read that you tried to go back and see if it was there, or called. Fingers crossed!

Our days just overlapped, I am loving your TR so far, just like being there again and your pictures are fabulous! Looking forward to more.

This trip report is so good we might have to take up a collection to send you back to WDW so we can get another Topdog TR!!!

Thanks for sharing your trip in such an entertaining and beautiful way!!

Outstanding pics again!!!

I'm so sorry to hear about your wallet. My DH lost his wallet at EPCOT in 06. It was found clear on the other side of the park with the money gone but the credit cards and KTTW still in tact. It was a very stressful few hours.

I really hope your luck is much better. :goodvibes

Now DH must wear a wallet with a chain on it when we go to amusement parks or overly busy places. (my rule) He didn't like it at first, so he bought one with flames. :scared1: It is sooooo ugly. No one would want to steal this wallet. :lmao:

Can't wait to hear more.popcorn::

I hate to hear about your wallet. I hope it turned up somewhere, somehow! I've been in a similar situation so I know how you feel!
Thanks. It was not a good feeling at all.
So sorry about the wallet. Maybe someone found it and Disney will track you down and mail it back, cash and all. I know I would send it back if I found it - in the hopes that someone would do the same for me. Love the pictures of the globe - did you use a tripod for those shots too? And do you always use a manual mode rather the automatic picture modes? I'm sending pixie dust that the wallet just shows up in the mail!!
Thank you for the good thought. This world can use more good heart people like you. Yes, I did took the globe picture with a tripod. In such environment, I either shoot it with complete manual mode or at least shutter mode. I don't believe I ever use automatic program mode on my camera.
Could you imagine if those folks were still on it? :lmao:
 I would pay to see that.
:scared1: This is starting to sound like My TR!

Great update! I LOVED the Epcot photos. There were just awesome! So sorry to hear about the wallet. No wonder you labled the TR a Disaster!
Trust me...This incident might seem bad. It got even worse later.
Your little grand niece is so stinking adorable!! I could just squish her little cheeks:goodvibes. Did you ever get your wallet back? Hopefully some kind soul turned it in for you. Love the Epcot pictures!! Can't wait to hear more!
Thank you annie. This baby is truly a blessing to the family. Here is another story about the baby if you don't mind a little off topic.

My BIL, DW's brother, who lived in NC has been suffered from diabetes for decades. He even has a kidney & pancrea transplant 15 years ago. Unfortunately, his transplanted kidney failed a couple years ago and that leaves to poor blood circulation. Because of that, he lost a few fingers and one leg. He had a stroke 2 years ago and we drove down to NC to visit him at the hospital. That night when we got there, the doctor came in and told him they have to amputate his second leg in order to save him. Needless to say, that news was shocking to all of us. 1 day after the bad news, their DIL called and told us she was pregnant with their second baby. That news gave new hope to my BIL to go thru the amputation. Unfortunately, my BIL passed away 6 months after the amputation and he never get to see the baby. At the same time, we also found out the baby has Hydrocephalus. (excessive fluid in the brain). Fortunately, the baby was able to born without any problem. She was born at the best hospital (Duke University hospital) and under the best doctor's care. But the baby also need long term medical care with multiple brain surgery. Fast forward to present, the baby now is a little over a year old now. She is really the happiest baby I have ever seen and we know she's not out of the wood yet. My SIL just spoiled her every which way she can. So in short, we lost a family member but we also gain a new family member and we are very grateful the baby survive. My SIL often said her husband must be looking out for the baby.
So sorry to hear about the wallet!! I hope it shows up too!

Love, love, love the pics of the globe, those are the best I've ever seen!!:cool1:

Thank you. I was a little surprise how great the globe pictures turn out too.

Great trip report. I am loving your photos.
Thanks. I still have more pictures to share.
Yay! Another photographer! I'm so in and looking forward to all the food pics. I'm only on page 6 but awesome job so far! :thumbsup2
Thanks. So glad you can join us. Take your time. My TR isn't goin anywhere. :rotfl: There are more food pictures coming up.
OMG Topdog!! Your little grand niece is just tooooo cute for words! I have no words!! LOL!

WOW!!! Amazing pictures of the EPCOT globe. I love that at night with all the colors. Your pictures are so sharp and clear. Just when I think you've posted the best of the best of your pictures, you top them with even better ones. Too funny about the family on the boulder. I was surprised too, the first time I saw a boulder rise up at EPCOT and found out it was a speaker. LOL

So this George Costanza wallet you have, when you sit down with it in your pocket, are you sitting on a slant, too?? LOL!! :lmao:
BUMMER about losing your wallet!!! I'm hoping that later in your TR you get it back. One of my visits to Disney I was in I think the Pooh gift shop, and saw $20 lying on the floor in this little clearing - the rest of the store was packed, crowded. I looked around and didn't see anyone, so I decided to pick it up and observe the people in the store. I had this feeling the $20 belonged to a kid. I figured I'd likely see someone frantically searching for their lost money. Sure enough...I overheard a mom scolding her son for dropping the money she gave him to spend on something for himself. I walked over and asked if they were looking for this? They were sooooooooo happy that I found their money and gave it back!! I got the warm fuzzies, too!!! So, I'm hoping you got your wallet back and that the CM at the store, if that's where you left it, held onto it for you.

But, on a much better note ....YAY!!!! Your DW has one glass so far!!!!!! :woohoo:
Thanks. I have plenty more pictures on my little grand nieces. That's what happen when she has a photographer uncle. LOL...

I am so happy you know about the George Costanza wallet episode. Mine wasn't quite as thick as George's but it certain lift up my cheek a little bit. :lmao:

You are a very nice person to wait for some one to claim that $20. We need more people like you in this world. My search of the wallet was not fun at all.

You are right. At least DW did have one glass now.
OH NOOOO!!!! :scared1: First the camera and now the wallet. Hopefully youll get lucky and get the wallet back with everything in it.

Your grand niece is so adorable. I love how bright her eyes are, you can see a lot of expression by watching their eyes. Just a pretty little girl. Glad you got home safe and had a good time.
Thank you. The camera and the wallet had not prepare us to the disaster we encounter later on. So stay tune.

My grand niece is just a joy. I don't think I ever heard her cry at all. Amazing!!
Oh No!!! I hope you find your wallet!!! And if you didn't, I hope that you and DW didn't let it ruin the rest of your trip!! (I would have a hard time enjoying myself after that!)

Gorgeous pics!!!! Love, love , love the colors on the globe!!!!
That's the spirit!!! DW and I were determine not to let all these "unhappy" event to ruin our trip. It wasn't easy but we did manage some how.
The description of the Geroge Castanza wallet made me laugh out loud! :rotfl2: My dad carries one like that too.

I guess it must be a guy thing to carry such large wallet in the back pocket. LOL...

Great job to sent the wallet back to its' owner.:thumbsup2 You are just too kind.

George Constanza Wallet!! :rotfl2:
Even in time of crisis, you are funny!
Yay! Another Seinfeld fan, I hope. I think I will be very miserable if I don't make fun of the situation.

Thanks. I appreciate your compliment and the good thought on my grand niece.

At the time it happened, I really don't know which incident felt worse. The camera or the wallet. There are still more "disaster" on its' way. It isn't over until it is over.

Hummm...Maybe I should change my screen name to MasterOfDisaster instead of Topdog.

Ha! Ha! Another Seinfeld fan. So glad many of you can relate to that episode.

It's really worth the trouble to stay out late at those parks. It's like walking to a whole different park compare to daylight. I plan to go to AK & DHS late on our next trip. I can only imagine what TOT would looks like at night with all the neon light.

Hey! A new reader. Welcome to join us for the ride. There are more "disaster" and more pictures on the way. LOL...

Thanks for sharing your trip in such an entertaining and beautiful way!!
If you can come up with the collection, just say when and I am there. I promise there will be at least 3 times more pictures than this TR. LOL...
Outstanding pics again!!!

Thank you for the good thought. Like I told my DW, it could've been a lot worse. At least I didn't lose my driver license and LTCF. Both were in my other wallet.

Wallet with flame and a chain. :rotfl: I am not sure if my cheek can handle it. Ha! Ha! :lmao:

You're killing me with the current disaster and the promise of a future one!!! I'm dying here!

(Oh, and I am going to be SO sad when this TR is done.)

I think topdog suits you better! Your TR is "tops"!!!! :thumbsup2

I can't imagine how anything else could have happened after the wallet disappeared. Poor you! Hey, at least it made for an interesting TR when you got home! (looking at the bright side of things) :cool2:

Thank you for sharing. There is no doubt that she is a blessing and that BIL is watching over her. Do you have a pic of her sister to post too?

Waiting for the next TR update. I have no idea what I am going to look forward to when this trip is over!?

Topdog your niece is just beautiful. I work in a children's hospital and children are miracles. They are stronger than any adult when comes to illnesses.
Love all your pictures and I am waiting (not so patiently:laughing:) for your next update.

Don't be sad! One chapter close another chapter open. I am sure I will have another TR in the future. Just hope it's not as stressful as this one.

Here is a picture of the older sister. She's a slippery one. Ever since she realize I took a lot of picture of her. She kept turning her face whenever I hold up my camera. :lmao: In this picture(you might not able to see the message), she purposely wore a shirt that said "No Picture Please" just to annoy me. :rotfl2:

Thanks GGOOFY1 and welcome to the ride. We went to a tour at the Duke University Children Hospital before the baby was born. It was incredible. They thought of everything for the mother and the child as well.

I probably won't post another update until this Friday night. I have to travel to NYC for business tomorrow. Sorry for the long wait.

Your other niece is very beautiful also! Just hilarious that she had that shirt to wear for you! What a jokester!

Oh, and I GUARANTEE you: I am hanging off the edge of my seat waiting for the next disaster! I'm always tuned in :worship:

Apparently she takes after you. Has she tipped over any shoe racks lately? :lmao:

Waiting for more.....:surfweb:

I've been reading your report on and off throughout the day and have been thoroughly entertained! I know that everyone else has commented on your outstanding pictures, but I will add my voice as well and tell you that they are the best I've seen in any TR! :thumbsup2

We had the pleasure of staying at the WL two years ago and I know how difficult it is to photograph that lobby!

I'm hoping the latest disaster (wallet) resolves itself in a good way! I'm enthusiastically looking forward to reading the rest of your story.

Kathy

She better not takes after me. Otherwise, her parents are going have a lot of damage to pay. :rotfl2:

Awww... thank you Kathy. I appreciate your compliment.

Hi Topdog!

Great update...not so great that you lost your wallet:eek:. I truly hope everything turns out good in the end. Funny though with the George Constanza comparison...my DH has a wallet like that. Sometimes he can't get it out of his pocket and it is so funny when he contorts himself and his pants to get it out.:):confused3 My kids get so embarrassed; especially DD. I guess we enjoy embarrassing our children.

Thanks for sharing about your BIL. The girls are beautiful. :cutie:
I know they are a blessing to your DW's sis and to the whole family. It is amazing how children can heal so many hurts because of the pure joy they bring into our lives.

Do you know where your neice got her t-shirt? ..my kids would like one

BTW...Tell us about the Easter play.
