What a disaster!!

Thank you very much....Mr. Miyagi lolol He is my favorite character though!!!!
Cant wait to read more!

I am still waiting for the long story. ;)

OK maybe it isn't too long. When we were at WDW in 2007, I had out last night planned to go to MK at night to see the lights and Wishes. What I didn't know was that there was a new episode of Kim Possible on that night that my girls did not want to miss. So, when I mentioned the evening trip, they both vetoed.

Sidenote: When we travel to WDW, we are early risers and therfore go to bed early. So, we hadn't see MK at night. DH and I have always said that these trips are for the girls and we do what they wany to do. This works fine for us.

However, I got all huffy that night because I wasn't going to get to see MK at night. However, we made our way back to POR in time to see Kim Possible. The girls felt so bad that the next morning, they bought me a print of POR with the rest of the their spending money. I love that picture. It hangs in my bedroom.

Moral of the story; I'm seeing Spectomagic and Wishes this trip even if I have to go myself. Although, they have all agreed to go with me.

So, there you go. Not an exciting story.

I went and looked at your gallery. I really like the one of the old lady shooting. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

So, since it's officially the weekend, you should have nothing better to do than update your TR, right popcorn::.

Awesome TR topdog and incredible photos (kind of makes me want to go back to my old film SLR -- haven't splurged for a digital one yet).

Just curious if you went on Splash Mountain -- is the Happy Place song you mentioned early in your TR on that ride? -- although I guess that's actually Laughing Place for Bre'r Rabbit.

Thanks for including us in your trip -- tomorrow night I'm looking forward to checking out your gallery. Thanks!
Thanks. I still love film but unfortunately, that became too expensive to shoot.

:worship:You are the "BOMB". I did a little quick search about Laughing Place for Bre'r Rabbit. You have solved my 30+ years of mystery. That is the second Disney song I can sing in Chinese. :woohoo: I even download a small sound clip of the song. I only know part of the lyrics but that's the song. That's a big load off my chest. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

So what is it that you do for a living? I'm pretty sure you could follow celebrities around and sell their pics for big bucks!:thumbsup2
:rotfl2:

Seriously, you could really make some money from your hobby-photography!:wizard:
I am not a paparazzi kind of guy. I do wish I can do that for a living but that's not me. Thanks for the compliment though.
Love the airshow pictures. Hope you make a gallery of Disney pictures too!

Thanks for sharing the vault! Add me to the fan club. :worship:

Dory
Airshow pictures are the toughest to shoot. I drove all over the country for it and I have stare at sky all day to shoot. Lots of wear & tear on my body.
My gallery is getting full. It doesn't has a lot of space left any more. You only see 2/3 of what I had. There other 1/3 are private; lots of kids pictures. I used to volunteer to do photo shoot for Karate Tournament. I will have to do some major house cleaning in order to add a Disney gallery.
all caught up

great updates and amazing photos.
Thank you. Glad you like the pictures.

Can't wait to see more new pics. My boyfriend said STOP reading that trip report because you are going to BUG us all trying to get great pictures. LOL!!!
The best part is he has NEVER been on vacation with me and the 4 crazies so he has NO idea what he is in for.
POST SOME MORE PICS!!! It is making my wait go by faster!!! :rotfl:
There will be more picture coming up, I promise. Perhaps your BF needs to join in for the ride. :rotfl:
Love your trip report! Love the pictures of the parks, hotels, and especially the food! Your pictures are amazing! :thumbsup2

Can't wait until the next installment...
Thank you. So glad you came along for the ride.
Thank you very much....Mr. Miyagi lolol He is my favorite character though!!!!

I love Mr. Miyagi. Too bad he is gone. Did you know they are filming Karate Kid again??
Can't wait to see more!! We will be at WL very soon!
You are going to love WL. I can't wait to go back again.

That's a sweet story. :yay: It's so nice to hear your DDs appreciate your sacrifice.

I hope you get to see Wishes, Spectomagic and illumniNations also.

Glad you like my gallery. However, that old lady picture wasn't mine. That photo belong to a close friend of mine. I scanned it and post it on my site so he can share it to his friends. It was a very "odd" picture though to say the least.

Wow, I am totally hooked in on your TR!! Love the pictures, you are very talented! I hope one day I can get my pics to look that good! Question on your fish eye lens. I want to get one(thanks to seeing your pics:) ), but really don't have the money to spend on it right now. Do they make filters that give the same effect or close to it? I have my kit lens, a 70-300 zoom, and a 50 mm, also a speedlight I can't figure out for the life of me:headache:. Can't wait for more!!

Cool -- happy to help! (So next visit you'll go on Splash Mountain ??? Pack a trash bag to put your camera bag in first while you're on the ride).

Before my next update is ready, I just want to share a little treasure I found last night. I managed to found all my 1995 Disney trip pictures. I doubt it I can write a separate TR that old like the almighty Great Biscuit. :worship:

However, I do want to share the pictures just for the fun of it. Here are the highlight of the trip from what I can remember. This trip was our 2nd anniversary present. It was a 7 days trip and Disney called it the Fall Fantasy because it was in October. Our Fall Fantasy package included breakfast every morning and hopper pass. We did stay at Polynesian Resort. We drove down to Disney instead of flying and we took one day to go to Universal Studio but we have to paid that separately. Hurricane Opal came through in the middle of the trip. We drove all the way to NASA from Disney hoping to watch the space shuttle launch and take pictures. 15 minutes before the launch and they cancel the launch. We drove into NASA anyway because I want to see the space shuttle in person. After we went through 2 security check point, finally got caught at the third security check point and got told to turn around immediately or we will be arrest. :scared1:

Me at the Tomorrowland area. I don't believe those landmark exist anymore.

Me at the tony Town Square in MK. Is that statue still around?

Me&Mickey.jpg

Me goofing around with Goofy. My long hair looks almost like Goofy's ears.

My first visit at WL. How can I not take a picture with the totem pole.

This is a very rare one. We were having character breakfast at Artist Point. This is before Artist Point became a signature restaurant.

Me posing with Dale.

DW posing with Chip.

Mr. Fusion and I at the Universal Studio.

Finally, DW, me and our lucky charm "Ted". I think I mention "Ted" earlier.

Family.jpg

There is some history about "Ted". "Ted" was a Christmas present I bought for DW at the first Christmas after we got married. At the time, we were very poor. I just graduate from college and living in a small 2 bedroom apartment. After working for a year and got laid off. Took another job in NYC while DW, girlfriend at the time, living at PA. We then got married that same year. We can barely afford the wedding. We can only manage to invite 16 family members and friends to our reception held at the back room of a restaurant. Things were tough. A small Christmas bear is all I can afford plus a couple of Christmas ornaments for DW that Christmas.

DW love the Christmas bear so much and she name him "Ted". Ted might not be a great present but for some reason DW thought it's the best present she has ever gotten. Then Ted became a fixture in our apartment ever since. Even after we put away all the Christmas decoration, Ted always stay out no matter what. Wherever we travel, Ted travel with us as well even today. DW will not leave Ted behind. He basically became our mascot. I have quite a few pictures that proved Ted did travel with us. It's kind of remind me the AT&T commercial they are showing now with the stuff monkey.

Welcome to join us for the ride. Glad you like the pictures.

Unfortunately, there is no filter I know of that can give the fisheye effect. Nikon has raised all their lens price like 20% since February. It's crazy. You are right about the speedlight. It's somewhat complex to use. I have the SB800 which they don't sell it anymore. Which body do you have?

We did ride the SM back in 2005. It was fun. However, we didn't ride it this trip because temperature was just not hot enough for us to get wet. :scared: DW just recovered from a nasty cold right before the trip. She doesn't want to get sick during the trip. I can't blame her.
Which part of NC you live? My SIL live at LaGrange and my sister live at Raleigh. We are heading there in about 2 weeks.

I kinda figured that about the filter. I have a Canon XTi. I am really still learning the ropes with it. I tend to hibernate during the winter, and my indoor lighting stinks, so no practice for me.

I had to add, I love the Ted story!! Will we get to see Ted this trip too?

Ted . . . what a sweet story. I'm hoping you take pictures of him when he's on vacation!

Hoping for more TR this weekend!:wave2:

Love the 1995 pics. I remember when the characters used to be hanging around the countries in matching outfits. We have a great ones of Minnie in China, Pluto in Mexico, but my Goofy pic is wearing a kilt in UK. I guess they don't do this anymore. :confused3

I also love the hair!!!

Love the "Ted" story too. My "Ted" is named Cozy. He doesn't travel with us though. DH won't let me bring him because he is afraid something would happen to him. No, I have no idea what he thinks might happen.

Waiting patiently for more!!popcorn::

Topdpg, your DW loves Ted because of the meaning that is attached to him. For me it is a necklace my DH gave me for our first valentines day in high school, just a couple of weeks after we had started dating. I still wear daily 19 years later. If anything happened to it I'd be heart broken. Your DW feels the same way- you are blessed.

I love the old pics from WDW. Goofy is my favorite character and I have never seen him in the costume you have. Just goes to show how Disney keeps changing thigs to keep it fresh for its repeat travelers.

Can't wait to read the next installment.
