1. Call it . . .
. . . Blessing
. . . Kismet
. . . Karma
. . . Luck
. . . Serendipity
2. Sometimes, EVERYTHING COMES TOGETHER!
3. For more than a week,
. . . Been house-bound or bed-bound due to a severely broken-back
. . . Nothing, including massive doses of Oxycontin helped much
. . . Cold in Central Florida, and even Mrs Scupper was forced to wear long pants
. . . Rainy for most days
. . . Been sending out Christmas cards to friends and loved-ones (often the same)
4. I simply HAD to get out of bed and out of the house.
. . . For those who know her, Mrs Scupper is 5'1" and I am 6'3½"
. . . She threatened to drag me to Epcot for the Christmas events
. . . she is small but very mighty, so I obeyed instead of her beating me up
5. We went to Epcot just after lunch
. . . seasonal crowds were relatively light
. . . weather in the high-70's
. . . almost no humidity
. . . cloudless skies with zero rain
. . . just a whisper of a breeze
6. We stopped to see every "Santa event " or holiday story.
7. During the Dis-Meet, bama_ed bought a beer stein at Germany
. . . color me jealous!
. . . we HAD to stop and get me one
. . . also wanted a photo of me at the Club-D3 "Binny" trash can.
8. Everything worked out well, as the Holiday Blessings rolled in
. . . went to Germany and stood in outdoor line to buy beer and stein
. . . a guy jumped in front of my scooter, when he did not see me coming
. . . we joked that if he stands still, I could aim better
. . . we keep talking for about 20-minutes as the line shortened
. . . he ordered a beer-to-go and I ordered a light lager beer and the stein
. . . the bartender poured my beer and said bye-bye
. . . Mrs Scupper handed him our credit card, and he said, "it was handled"
. . . the guy we who almost got run over bought my beer and stein (just over $22)!
. . . he disappeared into the holiday crowd
. . . never knew him, never saw him or his wife again!
9. Mrs Scupper and I continued Around-The-World
. . . we stopped at each country for their holiday performance
. . . before leaving, I wheeled up to "Trash Can Binny" for a photo
. . . Photos: China (music trio) - France (Pere Noel) - UK (Father Christmas)
. . . Photos: England (Binny, me, stein, coin) - Norway (Julenisse)
THE KINDNESS OF OTHERS MADE THIS WDW HOLIDAY SOMETHING TRULY SPECIAL. MADE IT A DAY TO BE LONG REMEMBERED !!!
