What’s your Uber score?

Why would I even care? Does the Uber driver use your score to determine if they will pick you up? Does the score affect the availability of rides?

I had no idea I had a rating, sheesh. I guess I need to leave feedback more often. Mine is 4.9 rating with 35 rides over the last 4.5 yrs. Also have 5 star rider and top tipper badges. Probably dinged because I cancelled a ride. We always tip at or above 20%. But it looks like they can ding you for anything: slamming their door too hard, talking too much/little…whatever.

Edit: this is for Lyft

For Uber Eats, they check to see what tip you are leaving to have the food delivered. (There is a place to include it as you place your order.) If you don't leave a decent tip, the drivers won't accept your order. It's probably the same for rides.

4.48 apparently. I show up, am polite to the drivers and what not so idk

Just looked it up. I’m a 5. Only used Uber on vacation at wdw. Only used it 6 times. Wdw hotelto universal hotelUniversal to MCO. Wdw hotel to sea world, sea world to wdw hotel. MCO to wdw and wdw to MCO.

Uber is much easier for us to access at home. Besides … my CC give me a $200 credit each year for Uber.

4.85 and I have no idea why. We only use Uber on vacation and I’m a generous tipper (through the app- don’t usually carry cash on me). I think it’s crappy that drivers can ding you for things like talking too little, talking too much, etc. DH and I are always polite but we don’t like chitchatting in a car, plus it’s difficult for DH who has a hearing issue. Never eat or drink in the cars, wear seatbelts, always at the pickup location before I order the ride. I had a driver once tell me they could get in trouble if they don’t receive 5 star ratings so I’m always more lenient with my scores. Think I’ll be adjusting this a bit since the drivers rate us as well.

The drivers do look at it. I'm at a 5 with over 50 rides, but I do get asked if I'm new to Uber. Apparently, everyone starts out as a 5 and it can mean they are picking up a new, clueless passenger or someone who's unverified.

My CC also gives me a $200 credit per year.

In the app, click on account (at the bottom) and your score should be in the upper left corner.
DH's Uber app screen didn't look like what you're describing. There was a little head icon in the top right corner. I clicked on that and his account name came up. Under it was a star symbol and 5.00. What scale is that on?

I wonder if Uber will offer to raise your score if you make a 'donation' to them?..................LOL.

Mine looks like that after I press the account tab. Does he have an iPhone?

I believe it’s out of five, so in Ubers eyes he’s perfect.

:cheer2:3-for-3 I guess!! We've not used Uber very much; I just don't really trust the system somehow. We were in LA in April and they apparently have surge-pricing. Our travel companions Ubered from LAX to the pier in San Pedro and it cost them $140/USD. The same trip in a metered cab cost us $67/USD. Later that evening, I needed to do some shopping so we tried an experiment. We took a cab from our hotel to the store and took an Uber back (exact same route, in reverse). The cab, which was metered, cost $3/USD less.

We definitely got hit with surge pricing when we came home from Toronto on Fathers Day. It’s nice to be able to order a car with extra leg room, but still not convinced we’ll use it all the time.

This is exactly why I don’t like nor participate in this rating BS. When I bought my car the salesman practically begged me to give him a 10 rating for about a dozen different factors, otherwise he’d get a bad performance review. I never responded to the e-mail review despite two or three reminders from the independent review company.

Totally this. If any sales-or-service person asks for a 10, I simply ignore their surveys. Why any company would invest in this process (usually conducted by third parties and not inexpensive) and not want honest feedback to measure actual performance is beyond me. :confused3 My company does extensive research on our customer experience. One of the questions on our surveys is “Were you asked by any {{company}} employer to give a positive response?”. If the answer is yes, we ferret out the culprit and heck rains down.
