Ha! It's a dinner we make quite frequently. I switched to au gratin potatoes from mashed potatoes because we were eating a lot of mashed with other stuff.

We went to a sports bar to watch our team play basketball. We started with a 1/2 dozen oysters, followed by shrimp cocktail, then calamari & ended with a win.

We do have some leftover fajita meat from Sunday, so I might have that if it's still good. Final option would be a peanut butter and honey sandwich.

I made a peanut butter and honey sandwich for lunch yesterday. I haven’t had one in so long and it was so good, so I made another one today to bring to work for lunch.

That's what I'm going to carry to for lunch too. Love them. Just started eating them not long ago. I was eating strawberry jelly, but honey is so much healthier. So sandwich, carrots, apple sauce and chips will be lunch today.

I use the natural Peanut Butter. It's literally just peanuts and oil. Then I use 100% honey. Nothing in either one. And 100% whole wheat bread. Trying to make it as healthy as possible. And as least processed as possible.

last of anything thanksgiving that's suitable for freezing is frozen. i've got a decent supply of frozen items (stuff I make extra of TO freeze) that I want to start us eating through this month. we'll get a larger than we need honey baked ham* for Christmas and do a roast beef in addition for Christmas Eve so i'll need some freezer space freed up for that.


* if anyone else buys honey baked ham, please be aware that Costco is selling gift cards-$100 in gift cards for $79.99. nice savings.

@barkley - Thanks for the Costco WDW gift card deal info. If I decide to renew my AP (always wishywashy with that, lol) it’ll be the way to go.

Feeling a bit better after I succumbed to OTC meds. Yes they work but sometimes I just worry too much.

My Aunt Baby Sis would like some cookies so told her she’d make a fine substitute for DGD, lol. Not sure what kinds but it’ll come to me.

Interim, bought an already roasted chicky, 1/2 lb of shrimp as well as a bunch of broccoli stems and asparagus from WF. Defrosted the last cube of garlic soup, simmered some carrots and broccoli and added all together with a few slices of the chicken. There’s a new soup in town

if you are speaking of your Costco annual membership there is a way to delay renewal but still have access for those of us who are wishywashy on it (in my case I go infrequently so I hate to renew and then not go for months on end). while your current membership is still active buy a handful of $10 Costco gift cards. a single giftcard gives you access and you can pay the first $10 in purchases with the giftcard and the remainder with cash or a debit card. I landed on this when I realized if you forget to renew and it's less than 90 days after your membership expires they back date the renewal but if you wait till day 91 then that's when the new 1 year membership begins (same membership number/same Costco credit card if you have one). if your membership is not current anyone who has a membership can buy the gift cards for you.

it's just shy of 4:30 p.m. here-almost entirely dark outside and we are sitting at 31 degreeswith dropping temps and incoming snow for a couple of days. the 'good news'in the forecast is the temp goes up so the snow will turn to rain over the weekend but then it's dropping back down (so all that snow melt and new rainwater will make for a stinking ice rink on the roads). humbug
