Older son cooked last night. We do a lot of meal kit boxes and he normally cooks one of those once a week for us. Last night was potato crusted chicken with cheesy potatoes (little overboard on the potatoes ).
Tonight is our annual progressive Christmas party with our neighbors. We go to three different houses - drinks and apps at the first, entree (& drinks ) at the next and dessert (and, likely, more drinks ) at the last house. For the first time in quite a few years, we will not be one of the houses hosting. We'll provide some apps, but we wanted a year off from hosting this year.
Last night was leftover macaroni and cheese from Thanksgiving day. Yes, it's still good. Might finish it for lunch today.
Tonight DH says take out. I have no depth perception from yesterday's cataract surgery, plus some double vision. Even though I'm home from work, the last thing either of us wants is me working in the kitchen with knives and stuff!
Regarding PB&honey... POOH FOOD! When I was a resident camp counselor, we'd have "Pooh Parties." The campers would gather around the campfire in their jammies, we'd read Winnie the Pooh stories, and serve PB&honey on graham crackers, aka Pooh Food. Kids loved it, and it was a sweet way to end the day.
No clue about tonight. We usually go out on Thursday night or Friday night. We didn't go out last night, and I'm not sure I want to go out tonight. Just in a money saving mood. That said, we do have to clean out the fridge from Thanksgiving, weekend cooking, Tuesday night and Wednesday night, so we're going to be throwing quite a bit of stuff away. I guess that means it's time to go to the grocery store to buy more and refill. We need to go anyway because we don't have any meat to cook tonight.
That's so awesome. Last time I bought hamburger meat, it was $8/pound. I'm heading to Walmart tonight after work to buy groceries, so we'll see what it is now. If the patties are in the same, I may buy them. A burger does sound good.

It was Big Y in Massachusetts. 3 lb value pack. While I was there folks were grabbing 3 at a time, the meat guy kept going back and forth to keep the value packs on the shelf....
I also use it to make my geriatric dog's food, so I was excited to see a sale
Made the sauce for shrimp curry with lots of veggies. To keep the shrimp from being overcooked will add them when I’m ready to eat. Got some 8 counts at a great price so this should be really tasty.
Think I’ll have a clementine or two for dessert.
