My turn to cook -- cheese ravioli with marinara sauce and Italian sausage; corn on the cob from Sam's Club. My daughter teaches on our local air force base and cannot get home because the base is locked down. Hopefully she'll make it home by the time dinner is ready.

I hope it's nothing serious.

Thanks for the recipe. I may make these for one of my contributions to our extended family Thanksgiving meal. Will they travel well? (The drive is about an hour.)

I travel with them a lot. I wait to fill the cups when I get there, so they don’t get soggy. I usually add the dressing to the romaine at home so I don’t have to bring as many pieces with me.

I am always surprised how popular they are. It’s an item I frequently get asked to bring. I hope everyone likes them!

Been super busy lately! Missed checking in on everyone's dinners. I just threw some boneless country pork ribs in the crockpot. I'll make up some BBQ beans and a salad as sides. Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Today was a long day. I went to a celebration of life for a friend/co-worker. She was far too young, and had 5 year old twins. ALS is a terrible disease. Me and a few coworkers set up and cleaned up so her family didn’t have to worry about it. When it was over and we cleaned up I stopped for HH with my coworkers. I had a cup of clam chowder and a lavender martini

Back to spiced salmon. We had it with green beans and sweet potato. Tomorrow my parents are coming for dinner to celebrate Dad's 83rd birthday. I'm making pork tenderloin with potatoes & spinach and butternut squash. Our sons will be coming for dinner too. Love when we are all together.

Made some clothing returns in the Grand Central neighborhood (I think I’m finally finished), wandered over to the Garment District (so decimated!) and picked up some sewing notions. Decided to eat at the Oyster Bar before returning home even though my home attendant wanted to hit the Thai eatery again. We ordered oyster stew and branzino with veggies and took in the decor of the place. Also ordered a a Bloody Mary with oyster shooter because you can never have enough oysters .

The family sitting next to us were there to visit the holiday train at the Subway museum so I told them about the echo chamber outside the Oyster Bar. Seemed it was on theme.

Tomorrow I'm going to try an replicate a favorite dish from a local Italian restaurant.
Mama Mia: Cut up chicken breast, artichoke hearts and sun-dried tomatoes cooked in our special creamy marinara sauce; served with penne pasta.

We're playing Shanghai Rummy tonight. Ordered Panda Express so we can eat quickly and get started because each round can take a long time. It's always a fun time.

Camping with out scout troop. The adults make beef and chicken fajitas. The youth were to prepare sides from random ingredients. That’s a bit scary.

Last night we had a very interesting fried mushroom appetizer (Fried Hen of The Woods Mushroom, Whipped Ricotta & GoatCheese, Sea Salt, Truffle Oil, Saba & Grilled French Bread). Our entree was Crispy Confit of Duck & Garlic Marinated Duck Breast, WiltedKale, Whipped Golden Potatoes, Lentil-Pancetta Vinaigrette, Thyme Jus (menu descriptions).

We picked up original & lemon pepper wings, fries & veggie sticks at Wingstop on our way home earlier today. We'll heat it up sometime this evening.
