What’s for Dinner Tonight?

It’s been a constantly cloudy and rainy start to the summer so I’ve been spending a bit of time perusing recipes with the idea of fine tuning my weekly menus. Right now berries and cherries are in season so trying to incorporate them into my entrees as well as desserts. Today, going to try making a cold cherry soup with a mixture of sour and Bing cherries bought at the farmers’ market. Could be a nice starter for grilled entrees.

Last night I had a bowl of the ginger, chicky and rice soup. Worthy and a great way to use up leftovers.

DH & I shared Chicken foie gras”. Never had chicken foie gras- how did you like it @tarheelmjfan ?

This was our first time trying chicken foie gras also. We didn't even know it existed, until last night. The consistency was different from typical foie gras. It was dryer & didn't spread as well. It tasted similar to chicken breast, but it was full of flavor. That was preferable to me at this time. I could attempt to convince myself that it wasn't quite as bad for me. :p Definitely, give it a try, if you see it on a menu.

I love a cold fruit soup! How did it turn out?
 
I ended up with a leftover pork chop last night....DH said the Chicken Pot pie was good. Lots of leftovers.
DD came over and we booked a package for a trip to Universal in Oct. She so wanted to take DGD to see Epic Universe, so there we go. There will be 5 of us. Then we booked air :eek: So expensive!!She was here until 7, so I had to be fast with dinner.
