What’s for Dinner Tonight?

Now I want to try sautéed radishes. Other than what has been listed here, what do you all serve with them (meat & side)?

I like them in particular with thick cut pork chops but wouldn’t turn my nose up at roast chicken or broiled baby lamb chops….oh dear, I just finished my dinner and now I’m hungry for what I just wrote 🤣

PS the white bean soup was on the menu again. Which is the beauty of being a solo; nobody around to outwardly sigh when you say leftovers. 😉

It's funny you say that. I just sent DH to the store to pick up the radishes & thick, boneless pork chops. He hasn't been gone 10 minutes. We'll be having mashed potatoes with it.

Made chicken cutlets last night. Tonight was supposed to be london broil but DH was in the mood for another bacon, egg, cheese on a bagel (he gets on a kick for something and will eat it for like a week or two and then it goes out of the roation) so I'm having a l/o cutlet.

I sautéed radish slices and radish greens in garlic butter and served as a side to the tartiflette. The radish slices really are extraordinary. Use it in place of a salad.
Thanks for the tip. I was going to use olive oil, but butter sounds better. Butter it is! :teeth:

I had never heard of a tartiflette. I'll have to check out some recipes to see, if it's within my capabilities. Unfortunately, I can't stand for long at a time, so I have to either make things that are easy or that I can make in stages.

I want to join in because it looks like you guys have some easy yet healthy ideas. Tonight i'm making fideo which is typically a Mexican side dish but I add meat and veggies and make it a meal. It's toasted broken vermicelli in a tomato broth seasoned with cumin, chili powder, etc. HEB has a delicious fideo starter box so I just brown ground turkey, toast the pasta, chop a bunch of random veggie really small (tonight a blend of broccoli, kale, carrot, and spinach) and add chicken or veggie broth with their seasoning packet. It makes a thick soup consistency that gets thicker and more flavorful the next day for leftovers. It's really not a summer meal but I've been craving it!

We had leftover mashed potatoes that I wanted to use. That led us to potato cakes, which then led DH to suggest a pork roast to serve on top of them.

So, we're having Crock Pot pork roast w/mushrooms & onions, potato cakes & broccoli or green beans. If the broccoli doesn't have freezer burn, I'll make that. It needs to go.
