Someone who has done the tour would probably be better suited to answer your question. But my own philosophy has been to do as much scheduled stuff on the day(s) you expect it to be busiest in the parks. We did that with the Holiday Tour once and it worked out well for us. Whether that's one of the weekend days or Monday for you depends on a number of factors, including time of year and AP blackouts.
