...to a budget. DH and I have said "we're on a budget" many times, but this time we actually sat down, wrote it all out and made a plan. We are going to snowball our bills and use the cash envelope system - sort of our own version of Dave Ramsey. We will be debt free (minus the house) in 2 1/2 years. Then we'll have the house paid in another 1 1/2 years after that.
I'd like to know what some others do for motivation. I know we'll see the first bill paid off fairly quickly and that will be some motivation, but what else? I need some ideas for that carrot to hold out in front of us to keep us going. We are very determined, but it never hurts to have a little something to shoot for. I certainly don't want suggestions that cost money because that would be defeating the purpose. Any ideas?
