Will it just be too busy to bother going to W n W in early August?

Are some days quieter than others?

If we just pop in for a couple of hours, is it better to go early or late?

Do they ever open earlier that posted time?

Thanks for your help.

The best advice is to arrive 1 hour before the opening time, be first at the gate, and go to the big slides first. You'll know which ones they are from talking with the people in line.

After you hit all the slides, go to the wave pool and lazy river and relax. Last time I went, there was a beer stand next to the wave pool.

Yes, I know it's weird to be getting wet and cold at 9am, but that's what you have to do. It's really not that bad, you'll get used to the water.

The only other idea, is to show up around 3pm when they have the afternoon special. But you have to hope the weather is good.

So I'd go with the early morning thing, do all the slides before the crowd shows up, hit the wave pool, go back to your hotel, rest, then visit another park at night.
