I just got a really good offer for a 3b/2b pool house in Westridge. I also had a good offer for the same type of house in Santa Cruz development. Has anyone been to either of these for a comparison? Are they in gated communities with other things to do on site? Anyone have a link to a map? Thanks.

Santa Cruz is further south on the US27 than Westridge. It is quite a new and fairly small development. Westridge is more established and larger (IMO closer to Disney although there's not much in it really). Santa Cruz isn't gated, not sure about Westridge although I think not.
I would say both are in a pretty reasonable location. I'd pick whichever villa I thought looked nicest.

We rented in Westridge this year , it is a gated community. It was close enough , about 15minutes from Disney. It was nice and quiet there and we really enjoyed it.

Thanks for your help and comments. I decided to go with Westridge, as it is more established. The price of the home in Santa Cruz was a little cheaper, but Westridge I see has more on site, like a children's playground, tennis, basketball courts, community pool, etc. which Santa Cruz does not. Since I won't be doing the parks everyday it would be nice to have some other things to do on days resting in our villa. Thanks again. I really appreciate the decision making help I get on these boards.

Only the newer parts at the front (Manors North and Manors South) are gated. The established part is not. We have stayed in both and would recommend both, although the newer houses are closer together and less private than the older ones, if that bothers you. This is why we bought across the road at Hampton Lakes.

The main community pool and tennis courts are on the old part although the Manors North also has a community room. gym and pool but I don't think it has ever opened

Thanks Malcom. Is there a link or website that gives more information about Westridge? I can't seem to find one that localizes all their information. I didn't even realize that there was more than one location. I have to ask the vacation home owner which location is his villa.

We recently stayed in Wyndham Palms and vacation homes are definitely the way to go. The company we rented the home from also had homes in Westridge. I remember looking at the Westridge homes online at Global's website . That was what made me book through them you could select the house you wanted. I hope this helps you :cool

We just stayed in Westridge North 2 weeks ago. The pool and exercise room were open. We loved it. It was quiet and clean.
