Hi we have a timeshare that we exchanged for Westgates Lakes. Never have stayed here. We usually stay at the Marriott Cypress Harbour which is very clean and spacious. Does anyone have comments or suggestions regarding this resort?

Disney trip: August 12-19 :woohoo:

We stayed at Westgate Lakes several years ago in a two bedroom. The units were beautiful. Lots of fun activities onsite. Just don't attend the timeshare presentation, no matter what they offer, as it is very "hardsell".

Can't say it enough. Do not take the bait to go to a sales pitch, maintenance meeting, update - whatever they try to call it they will be trying to sell you and, unless you have experienced it, the pressure is unbelievable. Best to avoid it rather than go through a miserable experience you don't need on vacation. We go the extra step and unplug the unit phones as they aren't afraid to call way too early and very late. Don't bother saying no - just avoid all sales and enjoy your trip.

I like the Lakes. I think your best source for how to have the best time is to go to tripadvisor.com and see what people who have stayed there recently say.

Facilities are nice but dont expect that warm and caring feeling that Marriot gives. Like everyone posted rooms are nice plenty to do on the resort but the sales pitch aswell as customer service leaves something else to be desired!
