I've read a few people say that it was "cold" for their recent trips.

Just wondering what classifies "cold"? :goodvibes 60's? 50's? Are beaches "do-able?"

When we were on the eastern 2 years ago, I think the weather was in the 70's and 80's. (our friends might not be too happy with us since we talked them into this 'warm' time of year)

Curious if the cold front has passed ... we'll be there soon!

We just returned from the 7 night Western and yes, it was colder than expected for the Caribbean at this time of year due to a cold front that had moved in. I would estimate temps in the low to mid 70s for the first half of our cruise and extremely windy days that made it feel even cooler. Key West, our first port, was very windy. We wore shorts but also wore jackets and it got colder as the day went on. Our first sea day was overcast and cool - not a great day to hang by the pool. Grand Cayman was very windy and required tendering on the opposite side of the island. We decided not to go ashore for a number of reasons - 1.) due to the weather the tendering process was going slower than usual. 2.) due to the weather we had to drop anchor in a different location that necessitated a 20 minute bus ride downtown. Therefore, the travel to and from downtown would limit the amount of time we actually had to spend on the island and 3.) we were worried that we'd spend $60ish for a cab to get from downtown to 7 mile beach only to be subject to stinging sand from the high winds. By our Cozumel day the weather had started to improve but it was still on the windy side. We were quite chilly when we got out of the water after our dolphin swim at Chankanaab but it seemed a little better by the afternoon. Our next sea day was decent, warm enough to be by the pool but not really hot enough that I ever felt like I needed to get into the pool to cool off. Castaway Cay was our best day, although when the sun went behind a cloud it did feel cool. The water temp was a little on the cool side as well.

Ugh...this doesn't sound good! We leave Saturday! I hope it warms up! :sunny:
