Western Cruise 6/27-7/4

Can you post Navigators as well when you get to the Trip report? :goodvibes

Yes, I can post Navs...bear with me as I trying to figure out the scanner..I have all Navs/etc except one night where the performer took my Nav and ripped it ... I had saved it but my dh figured I'd gotten another. Also, I tried to get menus...I think these were the news menus or so I was told...when I went to get them from guest services and told them I was from the DIS boards they said someone else had picked them up...mmmmmmmm...it was the last night so I was like..ok. So we'll see if someone posts them. I'll try to get these Navs on tonight. IT WAS A GREAT TRIP! Thanks for your patience.

As I ponder the past of our cruise and try to remember the details for you all...despite others who say Magic has lost it's Magic...I'd like to say that our 4th Disney cruise...1st 7 day..was GREAT! We felt the service was awesome!

Flori our stateroom host was darling and always had our room looking it's best. Our servers Toby and Gerry were great! Gerry especially with his amazing tricks and scientific balances!! The gals that braided my daughter's hair...name tba...was wonderful..nice, personal and did a great job! The food was never complained about...even by our dinner mates...in fact everyone said how good their food was. The excursions were wonderful...Grand Cayman...Boatswains Turtle Farm....Cozumel...Fury Catamaran Beach and Snorkel...AWESOME group of people...great trip...Castaway Cay ...after 4 times we ventured down to the Stingray Adventure...played in the game room (oversized everything...pool tables, etc)...road bikes...etc. The cruise director...Brent and asst. Clayton (our fav) were as great as they were in the past.

Our trying times were the at sea days but that was our family's issue..not a Disney problem....well ok we never won Bingo! Also the dinner person who you don't see very often...overlooks the servers...he was a bit too friendly with my 14 yr old...creeped us out...I won't name names.

Anyway, ours was a wonderful time and now such a blurr as it goes so fast. I will get my TR on here this week and have found a way to send the Navs to the board so they can be loaded onto the DIS site I think...or you can PM me and I'll personally send them to you in PDF form attachment.

Reliving my trip soon....ahhhhhhhhh.......

Can't wait to hear more about the Fury Catamaran - we have that excursion planned for our October cruise. Please post pictures.
:cool1:

We started our trip driving to my SIL's to drop off our dog...about an hour out we get a "low tire pressure" indicator....GREAT! Off the road we go to the nearest gas station...."ok, what did that sign say..Chevron, BP, Texaco..and how far?" Yes, we drove about 5 miles off the interstate to the first gas station....by husband began the dreaded pull the tire off...get the spare (luckily full size)..when I suggested I roll the tire to the service station down the road...long story short...they stayed open for us as the gas station mgr called them and it was a $20 valve stem fix...ok normally those are $3.50 where I live but ok...we'll take it. Back on the road...whoohoo!!!

Safely made it to JAX and spent the night with my SIL who all the while kept saying how she wanted to go too. She and her family normally come with but have chosen to do home remodeling instead.

Saturday morning as we are up and trying to leave...thinking of the coveted 2 or 3 boarding pass...she begins to show more signs of wanting to go. Can you go? DBIL would stay home with dogs. Time is ticking....no more #2 or #3..I can tell. About 10am she calls DCL...yes they have space and YES they will book it!!! Holy cow are you kidding me!! Pack and let's go! Well...she still wasn't sure..should she leave hubby with dogs, house remodeling people...oh who wants a door to nowhere anyway!...come on!!!! Well she was still undecided when we left. Bye bye #2, #3, #10....let's just be happy we are going and on the road to the Port. She calls us on the road..."what do you think?" she says...."we think you should come"..."forget more light, the door, the tile looks great (it really does)...just get going" As we go over the bridge..."When you wish upon a star..." starts playing in our heads as my kids make the horn sounds...ahhhh...still just a sight to see...and this time it's the Magic...we've been on the Wonder previously...and this is ONE WEEK!!!! Whoo hoo!!! Oh ya...and don't tell my youngest there is tropical activity in the Key West/Gulf area...shhhhhhhh.....

DH drops us off at the terminal and parks the car (over $100 for the week..no AX..only VI/MC...right next to the porters). Worth every penny. Construction is going on at the terminal parking..just a heads up for future cruisers. The kids and I go in thru security...smiles as big as we can...upstairs...then the decision...bathroom or boarding pass...boarding pass of course...the kids all head to the bathroom. I'm the Castway Club line when they get back all excited to see what # I have gotten...I kept them in suspense till their dad got there..."It's very cool!...We've only had 3 once before..and..."when their dad got there I revealed....it's..it's...# 18!!! Whoohoo!!! The family in front of us thought we were whacked! Who would be excited about 18? OK...myabe I was just excited to be there! Now as I think DH is going to take my spot...I will run to the bathroom...NOT! He goes to the Customer Service line to try and get an upgrade...okay..we have Cat 4..but he had heard if Cat 2/3's don't fill up you can do a paid upgrade at the termianl...now I don't know where he would have heard that....:rotfl:...so there he is...in line...it's okay honey..I've only had 4 cups of coffee, a 3 hour drive with no stops (can't ever stop on the way to the Port...that's forbidden! :) ) Luckily the line moved fast...he had to swap with kids in order to show the agent he was there...he was DETERMINED to get that upgrade he's heard about...me on the other hand...we have #18..your sis kissed our upgrade chance away HOURS ago! And as we got up to the photographers for the security photo..he came over disappointed...no upgrade...I did go ...Awwwww..bummer....but by then it was open boarding and our name was being announced...we tossed around giving them a made up name to be funny (as other DISer's had thought of) but passed ..... on to Topsider's ?!?!?!....can I please stop at a bathroom!:yay:...

Navs are bring scanned to DIS today...pixs..I have to do via photobucket I think...never done these before..only Kodak sp standby.....

I am really looking forward to your review of the Fury Catamaran.:cool1:

Subscribing! popcorn:: We are on this cruise in 62 days! :woohoo: I can't wait to read all about it! Boo for no upgrade or bathroom break, but I hope things go up from here!

I have to apologize for never finishing the TR...things got crazy as we are a military family and with school/commitments/change in duty station/us being one place/DH in the other for 7 mos/sports/etc...this TOTALLY got left behind. I will have to finish it just for my own scrapbooking memories..but wanted to apologize. Hopefully I'll be better at my next TR. Thanks for reading and I hope your trips were awesome!!!
