Western Caribbean Port Excursion Recommendations?

Hi! We are first-time cruisers -- family of 5. Me, my husband, DD (5), DS (7) and my mom (68). We will be on the September 2, 2017 cruise on the Fantasy and are super-excited, but have no idea what to do for port excursions. Some of our group (my mom) is not particularly adventurous or sporty, but we want to make the most of our time in port. Welcome any and all recommendations and why you recommend! Thanks so much.

I'd be interested in recommendations for port excursions for western Caribbean cruises as well. I have a western Caribbean cruise booked for November 2018.

We love Paradise Beach in Cozumel. The fact that it isnt an all inclusive was a huge draw to us. The prices are reasonable, food was very good, staff was excellent, pool was gorgeous.

Our almost 5 year old really enjoyed the chocolate & piñata excursion in Cozumel. The age range was pretty much 5-10 and all the kids had a blast.
