I have no gossip or dirt..it was a graduation weekend and I did NOTHING today..it was awesome!

That doesn't sound like fun. I'm glad you had today off. We are actually going to watch Air Force One. Jon picked it for Father's Day :confused3

OK I gotta go. I'm getting an evil eye and I'm mostly talking to myself, about my birthday, over here!

.

The twin of Jackie showed up again and I did a double take, just as I did last time.

I also realized this morning that ... I'M GETTING MARRIED THIS WEEK.

You'll probably be seeing her most weekends (except the Sundays that she has an AM client call). ::yes::

Have a great time in Canada! And Congratulations!

John, did I say HAPPY BIRTHDAY :confused3 I can't remember what I posted this morning. If not HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
I also loved riding my bike as a kid. Of course that was 'back in the day' when we rode all over town, all day long and had no worries about wacko people. The joys of being a kid in a small town in the late 50's.

Well, I don't know where this day got to...12 hours just sort of vanished. Time for a big glass of water and a chapter of my book, then of to sleep.

Nighty-night!

.

We just got home from spending the day at DL.

We got to ride Toy Story Midway Mania in a soft opening (it opens on Tues). And it is awesome!!! I took a lot of pictures today and wil post some tomorrow night.

Hope everyone had a great day!!

Night.

Good Choice.

How was your weekend?

My weekend was good? Dinner on Friday night. Wine tasting in Temecula on Saturday and the Father's Day rounds today. We ended up watching 50 first dates. I've seen it and he knew I liked it so he knew I would stay awake. I've seriously watched more movies in the last few weeks than I've seen all year. Summer is good for something!

Ten minutes until my birthday and Marilyn decides not to come on :badpc:

We got it. If you find you can't get it I can scan it and make a glossy 8X10 to send you. If the rumors of them having to cancel the helicopter were right this is probably from 2005 with our dates on it. It doesn't matter, it is still our Magic. ::yes::  Because of this, though, someone may be able to get you one.
Carol

Thanks so much for the offer. Michelle has offered to scan it and send the file to me and if that works I can get a print made here. How did I miss that picture????? I can't believe it! And I also thought the same thing--that it was one of the 2005 pictures with our date on it! Oh well, who cares?:rotfl2:

I think that Monica asked me, and I forgot to respond.

Dad is doing as well as can be expected - no worse, but no better. He has lots of trouble walking.

Manuel just was moved on Friday to a transitional rehabilitation facility. It is all uphill for him now to get stronger and recover. This week I expect they will get him on his feet. I may have said this before, but he told me to tell all of you (when I told him about this board) thank you for all of the prayers and well wishes.

I am as determined as I have ever been on the job front. I have sent my resume and applied for several positions in the area. I am about as unhappy as I have ever been in my job - for many, many, reasons. I probably should have been this proactive when I first mentioned this probably about a year ago. To be honest, one of my fears was an employer not wanting someone who would be gone for 19 days in May!

Now that is over, and I can be more serious. For the first time in 18 years we are not spending a week at the beach at the OBX. Really makes me sad, but between the time with Manuel, the cruise, and some financial issues at work, it was the right decision. Of course, Sophia is going with Grandma and her aunts. They leave this Friday - I will be in Columbus.

I was chosen to be on the governor's committee for excellence in education from this area. Found out I was the only school board member chosen from our county. It is a three day meeting to discuss ways to improve education in Ohio.

John, Happy Birthday and Happy Father's Day! It's so good to "see" you! Good luck with the job hunt, congrats on your appointment, and I loved your description of Sophia and her bike. I, too, rode my bike all over town when I was a kid, even in the middle of summer! I think about that now--I've really turned into a wimp!

I'm not sure if anybody remembers me mentioning my friend Lisa who was diagnosed with leukemia right before our cruise. I went with another friend to go visit her during chemo. She was to be in the hospital for 3 weeks, and was to leave the hospital the week our cruise ended, unless test results at that time showed that they'd need to do a bone marrow transplant. I had been trying to call her now and then since we've been home. When I called the hospital they told me she was no longer there, so I'd assumed she was at home, just too tired with recovering to return phone calls. Well, her mom is returning calls from Lisa's voice mail because she died May 25th, just 3 days after her 36th birthday. She never made it through the 3 weeks in the hospital. I'm very sad for her 18 year old daughter because they were so close, more like best friends than mother & daughter. :( :worried: It's quite shocking how fast it happened.....much like Marilyn's neighbor. Unbelievably sad.

Holly, to you. What a terrible shock.

I have been working in Rhode Isalnd all weekend. I just got home. I felt bad missing Father's Day, but it could not be avoided. When I got home, we did carry out from a local steak house. It ended up with 11 at our dinner table (neighborhood kids) and we all laughed so much!!

We watched Tiger tie it up in the US Open and now the same group is watching Lakers/Celtics....

I love all these kids!~!

I have missed you guys this weekend, but I guess I am here all by myself tonight....

Lisa, Sorry I missed you. It sounds like you had a very nice day with your housefull!

Wow! That is hot! I was up late last night because I didn't get home
from work until 1:00 AM and needed to unwind...tried to get caught up but didn't last long, as I needed to get back up at 6:30 AM to go back to work :headache: How I miss the Magic!

I purchased this pic too, along with the folder. I don't have a scanner, but could get a copy made in the photolab at work if you want, Cheri?
Kathe

Hi Kathe! Am I the only person on the ship who DIDN'T get that photo??? GRRRRRRR!

! From now on when I eat with them I want to see the packaging as they have tried to feed me deer before too.

This cracked me up!!!!

Luckeeeeeee! I'm jealous! I was reading about it over on Mice Age. Looking forward to seeing your pictures!

Gayleeen.....
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! Am I the first????

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GAYLEAN.:)

:bday: party: :bday: party: :bday:

I don't know if it made anyone else's local paper, but in our paper there was an article this past week that a new record had been set for payment to travel the Panama Canal. Guess what ship it was?

US!

They made a point to say that it was because of the new toll structure on the canal, charging by berth. Now if Disney had only tried to charge it's passengers for the difference . . .

It made me laugh after the ordeal we went through with that policy.

Made me laugh too!!!

Thanks for the update on Manuel and your dad. I still find it wonderful that Manuel is still here after all he went through. All the best to him as he begins the hard work of rehab.

Hope you manage to change jobs quickly John. It's horrible being so unhappy at work.

Well done on being chosed for the governor's committee.

We are back from our weekend outing. We spent 2 nights at an RV park in Salem (OR) about 35 miles from home. Our DD got her diploma (AA degree) there yesterday. We took the MH to make sure all the winter kinks were worked out before heading to MT for 10 days next month. My mom enjoyed the outing. :thumbsup2 Other than that one mishap with the sewer drain hose, :rotfl: all went well.

:scared1: Are you going to share?:rotfl2:

Holly, how very sad. I will be praying for her family.

About the Shutter's PC picture. Yes i though it might be the 2005 one, but actually it does look like a photo from land not a helicopter, and John thought the photographers went off somewhere. I know what I am going to believe anyway!!!:rotfl2: I'm just to the left of centre at the front!:lmao:

Tut, I think Gaylean was still online when I began to type my answer but is not now.

very sad and know what her daughter's feeling. :( (Holly I lost my mum when I was 18 years old) My though for her.

I don't think it was 2005 because I see orange on land? I think someone took the photo like two staff men came out of the ship and took photos of us at Balcony.

Tink rules

I email you okay.

Right!!

I have today put in request to move our May 09 cruise ressie to the Sept 12th 09 cruise, and also to book the following cruise 19th Sept.:cool1: :cool1:

This means we will be visiting the West coast area in May/June next year.

Boy am I excited. Plenty of planning opportunities there, particularly with the west trip. Trouble is I want to do so much in the 4 weeks. DL and SF will be a defo. A trip further north would be lovely too. Also would love to do San diego, but it seems the wrong time to visit here.

Cherie, we might get to Phoenix too. We would like to do the Grand Canyon again.

Will dance again when the cruises are booked.
