Regarding the PC photo. I found the thread of our crossing day, and the still someone caught of us on the webcam shows the two tugs with us.

I copied it.

I say the big picture is US!!!:cool1:

We had a great lazy day by the pool. I finished the first in the Left Behind series and am now on to the second. Also did a quiz in my HR class. Fun stuff!

V - Let me know if you need any of the books in the LB series - I have them all. Great reading.

I found this photo on a trip report on another board. Did anyone see/buy this at Shutters? If I had known it was available, I would have bought one!

What do you think?

Carol, I know what you mean about WDW. I was originally planning 21 days at WDW for next May, and was hesitant to give that up as I loved the 3 days we had there this last May. Being at WDW means we can be big kids without our friends and family seeing us!!!:rotfl2:

We have our December trip, but the weather can be a little changeable.

Next year's trips are our 40th wedding anniversary celebration. To be honest we are better together on holiday than when John is back at work as he is more stressed. Having your own business has fors and againsts.

Marilyn we have never been able to send more than a week at WDW at a time. I am hoping to be able to spend at least two in the next couple of years. I think it would be so much to be able to go the parks when you want, stay at the pool, go to DTD or what ever without feeling you have to do everything commando style.

Know what you mean about spending time with DH on holiday. We seem to get along better too. I think there is stress in every relationship that Disney seems to make melt away,

Done! :thumbsup2

Read the series except for the prequel. Really enjoyed it. Left me with some questions but every good series does I guess. I cant seem to get into reading the prequel since I already know what happens.

This picture matches one of the still shots from the web cams (tug boat positions and all) friends got for us all.

I asked one of the Shutters photographers how they got the photos since the helicopter was canceled and he said he was not at liberty to say. :confused3 That makes me wonder if he made special arrangements to go off the canal property and get a driver to parallel our progress and then get back on at the other end at the locks or with the boat that brings the pilots back.

On cmash95's trip report, in the photos, her son has one photo showing the pilot boat and has labeled it that it is bringing the photographer back and picking up the pilots.

:goodvibes All that to say, I am convinced that is US!:thumbsup2

When we left the Mira Flores locks I watched us sail off without two of the photographers that were taking pictures of us on the ship and wondered how they were going to get back on with the pictures. Asked someone at Shutters later and they said that the Pilot Boat brought them back when they picked up the Pilot. Saw the Pilot get off from my balcony but wasn't in time to see anyone get on so don't know how many there may have been. Love a mystery, but it is nice to be able to believe that it is us.

I think that Monica asked me, and I forgot to respond.

Dad is doing as well as can be expected - no worse, but no better. He has lots of trouble walking.

Manuel just was moved on Friday to a transitional rehabilitation facility. It is all uphill for him now to get stronger and recover. This week I expect they will get him on his feet. I may have said this before, but he told me to tell all of you (when I told him about this board) thank you for all of the prayers and well wishes.

I am as determined as I have ever been on the job front. I have sent my resume and applied for several positions in the area. I am about as unhappy as I have ever been in my job - for many, many, reasons. I probably should have been this proactive when I first mentioned this probably about a year ago. To be honest, one of my fears was an employer not wanting someone who would be gone for 19 days in May!

Now that is over, and I can be more serious. For the first time in 18 years we are not spending a week at the beach at the OBX. Really makes me sad, but between the time with Manuel, the cruise, and some financial issues at work, it was the right decision. Of course, Sophia is going with Grandma and her aunts. They leave this Friday - I will be in Columbus.

I was chosen to be on the governor's committee for excellence in education from this area. Found out I was the only school board member chosen from our county. It is a three day meeting to discuss ways to improve education in Ohio.

Sorry about your Dad.

Thanks for the good news on Manuel.

Best wishes on the job hunt.

Sorry you miss the trip to the ocean.

CONGRATS ON BEING CHOSEN FOR THE GOVERNOR'S COMMITTEE!!:cool1:

Hi Lisa

I saw her. She was on a tag fairy thread too. She is a bit too nice in my opinion.

How's mom doing?

Mom is the same....she did eat for me yesterday when I came back from my business trip.

I'm not sure if anybody remembers me mentioning my friend Lisa who was diagnosed with leukemia right before our cruise. I went with another friend to go visit her during chemo. She was to be in the hospital for 3 weeks, and was to leave the hospital the week our cruise ended, unless test results at that time showed that they'd need to do a bone marrow transplant. I had been trying to call her now and then since we've been home. When I called the hospital they told me she was no longer there, so I'd assumed she was at home, just too tired with recovering to return phone calls. Well, her mom is returning calls from Lisa's voice mail because she died May 25th, just 3 days after her 36th birthday. She never made it through the 3 weeks in the hospital. I'm very sad for her 18 year old daughter because they were so close, more like best friends than mother & daughter. :( :worried: It's quite shocking how fast it happened.....much like Marilyn's neighbor. Unbelievably sad.

So sorry to hear about Marilyn's neighbor and your friend.:sad1:

I hope some of Lisa's friends befriend  her daughter and help her through this.

I would love to help out her daughter, but she's moved to Texas already to live with Lisa's brother. Most of their family is in Texas, so that will help her. I and a couple other of Lisa's friends do plan on writing to Aries (her daughter) right away though. :(

Oh Deborah, Tyler asked me this morning, while brushing his teeth, if the Loch Ness monster is real. :rotfl2: I told him nobody knows for sure, but many people think they've seen her. So.....he's decided that I need to take him to Scotland to see if we can find her! :lmao: It was a much needed laugh this morning!

We have no clue what we're wearing. I know it won't be tuxes. Probably shorts and tropical shirts. No accouterments whatsoever.

That would be normal attire here!

We just got home from spending the day at DL.

We got to ride Toy Story Midway Mania in a soft opening (it opens on Tues). And it is awesome!!! I took a lot of pictures today and wil post some tomorrow night.

Hope everyone had a great day!!

Night.

Hey that's where we went yesterday - we were in line at 11:30.

Boy am I excited. Plenty of planning opportunities there, particularly with the west trip. Trouble is I want to do so much in the 4 weeks. DL and SF will be a defo. A trip further north would be lovely too. Also would love to do San diego, but it seems the wrong time to visit here..

SD is only 1 hour (2 with bad traffic) from DL.

About the Shutter's PC picture. Yes i though it might be the 2005 one, but actually it does look like a photo from land not a helicopter, and John thought the photographers went off somewhere. I know what I am going to believe anyway!!!:rotfl2: I'm just to the left of centre at the front!:lmao:

I think it is a nice picture anyway so you believe what you want to! Thanks for the birthday wishes.
